Both sides denied committing war crimes.

War is a crime. The whole of the Middle East can be put on trial for war crimes... maybe even the whole world. How far do we want to go back?

Funny that Hamas considers Israel as committing war crimes but doesn't recognize itself as doing the same or even worse.

Engulfed by domestic outrage, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas rushed Sunday to limit the fallout from his decision to suspend efforts to have Israeli officials prosecuted for war crimes over last winter’s military offensive in Gaza.

Alright Bob, please tell Abbas what he won for selling out his people? Nothing! Yes Abbas you got nothing for your people and no one knows yet what you got for yourself!

True Palestinian leader, selling his people out for nothing....LOL

I understand the outrage the Palestinians have at Abbas. Israel killed children at will and bombed shelters. Unbelievable. < :-)

The UN report did include something about Hamas also committing war crimes, I suspect they were pressured to do so for fear of appearing biased. However, the alleged crimes of Hamas come nowhere close to those of the Israeli regime.

This last thing further supports my long held belief that Abbas is a traitor.

Unfortunately, Abbas is human and even a better statesman. Sometimes as a politician you have to make unpopular decisions. He has been the most level-headed leader to come from Palestine since before Grand Nazi Haj Amin al-Husseini!

Hamas terrorists raise their hands in the air as if they never lobbed a thousand rockets into Israel to start this mess. Their intent was to start a war they couldn't win and sell the pictures to the world what the bad Israelis did to them. Shame on Hamas and their new Palestinian Nazi movement! Cheap representation of humans I would say.

Israelis killed many civilians, including children, yes, but Hamas fired rockets from school rooftops! I know some of you are still blind to that fact. It's a pity you only remember certain things. Half truths are a full out lie!

Hamas just solidified the fact that ONE Israeli soldier is worth 20 Palestinians! How demeaning to the Palestinians. OK, most may rejoice, but is this how worthless their lives are? Abbas didn't get any prisoners released, but he's a politician. Why should he play like terrorists do? That's no sign of weakness anywhere in the world except in the Palestinian territories.

Too bad terrorists aren't viewed as soldiers, because their suicide bombing would be considered war crimes, but they are not soldiers are they? If Hamas "soldiers" strapped on bombs and got caught trying to kill civilians, then they too would be held accountable for greater war crimes, no?

I'm not saying they're are no war crimes, but let Abbas do his job to start off the peace process.

Oh, and here we go again! Syria and their terror cells are rearing their ugly heads again.

Seems about par for the course with Palestine. The group who lobs rockets into Israel and captures a soldier and sets the peace process back about 20 years are the heros, and the guy who shelves a report that would have gotten them absolutely no where in hopes of a bigger goal (peace deal) is treated like a goat.

sabiwabi: This last thing further supports my long held belief that Abbas is a traitor.

Abbas is the only real hope the Palestinians have for a peace agreement with Israel. I suppose that makes him the #1 traitor on your list.

Superlib,

My long-held view that Abbas is a traitor is only reinforced by the fact that you support the guy.

"My long-held view that Abbas is a traitor is only reinforced by the fact that you support the guy."

Heh, only you're a holocaust conspirasy theorist.....so you've as much general credibility as the Hamas whining about war crimes.

We have two different definitions of the word "victory." I see it as Israelis and Palestinians living together in the area in peace. You see it as Israel being removed from the map. Your war ended a long time ago and you lost. You just refuse to realize it because your motive isn't peace, it's revenge.

Sabi can't see the desert for the sandstorm. Typical Palestinian sympathizer. So one sided. Palestinian groups can do no wrong in his books.

Okay Mister Abbas, please spread more, no no more, no no no more.....Okay now that is better....We can see your problem now, you are toooo stupid to understand what your people need....Thank you.

Wouldnt it all be so boring if we all just got along. Agree Superlib .I hope Abbas and the Isrelis can make a lasting deal but there is no way I am holding my breath. Why dont the Israelis and Palestinians just play soccer against each other a couple of times a year and sort out their differences that way
