Just because the article says the Islamic Republic is "the" government of Afghanistan does not mean it is. The Taliban are also a government in Afghanistan still in control of about half the country. Oh, you can "not recognize" them like a child with their eyes closed and fingers in their ears pretends you are not there, but they ARE there and just as official as the other side and everybody else whose power rests upon guns when it comes down to it.
