This based on facts, or just your feelings?

Trump was the big spender on the military and weapons.

Even the draconian Russian military had not the slightest chance there. So what do you think you have there? Yes, only prospects of earlier and unnecessary dying. That is not an area to invade, but where building a big wall around is the only peaceful solution. Otherwise you are killed there , or as it is currently more preferred, by all those religious and terrorist migrants when they flood your area after ‘fleeing from instability there, but instead bringing directly to you nothing else then opium drugs , rapists and insane knife-wielders. Feel free to ignore this truth, you will probably need to learn it the harder way, don’t you? lol

@zichi: Trump was the big spender on the military and weapons.

And the Left is attacking him for trying to end the war in Afghanistan. Go figure.

Perhaps end most US involvement, but continue the proxy war. The US and other nation's defense industries will continue to sell weapons to keep proxy wars going.

Better to wage a proxy war rather than send troops. You don’t see Germany sending troops. Instead they support the PLO and the Iranians with cash and trade. America is too much in debt and divided to help save the world from itself. No more occupations and rebuilds. Democrats will just cut and run as soon as things get tough like they always do.

Germany gives major support to Israel not PLO and Iran. Like with the submarines.

After nearly 20 years of war and $1 trillion the Taliban remain undefeated.

The Germans have a soft spot for those Arab states and the Palestinians who oppose the Jewish state. It’s really odd given their history but it is what it is. How else do you explain Germany’s insistence on maintaining business ties with Iran and supporting the Palestinians? They make performative gestures to the Israelis but it’s obvious their heart is with the Arab opposition.

Germany does not break the sanctions in place against Iran. The EU supports the cause of the Palestinians to have their own state. Israel in now trying to make relationships with the Arab states.

Germany sent troops to Afghanistan for 19 years.
