This is ridiculous. Americans dying for no reason while trying to help. OUT. NOW.

Sudden Jihad syndrome. It is typical, and expected... except by the naive clowns that make US and Nato policy.

" A NATO official expressed shock at the time that an Afghan officer would betray his NATO partners. "

This summarizes the idiocy at the heart of Nato and US policy. For the Afghan officer, these were of course not "partners", they were worthless infidels.

Hey servicemen, do you really want to be there? If no, get out. Time for the people of America to decide on war not a few money hungry and corrupt suits. Six families devastated in seconds by this sick war. Wake up people it`s not getting any better.

If the politicians would let the American fighting man fight without one hand tied behind his back this war would be over within a month - just like Vietnam would have been.

Political correctness and liberal ROE = dead soldiers.

What a tragedy. The U.S. should have gotten in, gotten Bin Laden, and gotten out.

Bin Ladin, bin schmadin. What would they would want to do if they actually caught him? Try him in one of Eric Holders civilian courts? They would have to let him go.

Bin Ladin is simply one of many pious religious leaders who believe the book and encourage to fight the holy war.

Bush was right in supporting the Northern Alliance in kicking the Arab led mujaheddin out. After that, they should have left and not try to drag Afghanistan into 21st century, while leaving its shariah laws in place. Insanity!

Lack of evidence willi?

It's time to pull the plug. The puppet regime is a failure.

Another failed war

No pity for them what so ever.

Violence begets violence.

What are they expecting, anyway? So long as the USA continues to pursue a course of violent overthrow of any (defenseless) state it deems unmanagable it'll continue to lose soldiers and credibility.

And what are the consequences if we do get out?

Aunty American:

" What are they expecting, anyway? So long as the USA continues to pursue a course of violent overthrow of any (defenseless) state "

The Mujahedin state before Bush engineered the overthrow by the Northern Alliance was neither "defenseless" nor a legitimate state. It was the Northern Alliance that was recognized internationalle. Please read up on the topic before commenting.

Actually, the opposite is the case now. The Obama government does not try to "overthrow" a "defenseless state", they are trying to create a functioning democratic state in Afghanistan. And this sort of nation building is impossible and stupid. They are throwing ressources and Western lifes into bottomless hole.

Holiving:

A Taliban state. Not different from other Sharia hellholes that nobody throws ressources at, like Somalia, Yemen, Chechnia, or Northern Nigeria.

Plus huge savings of wasted money for this adventure, which sorely needed at home. Plus and end to the sacrifice of Western lifes for nothing.

Is that so bad?

Madverts:

" Lack of evidence willi? "

Evidence for what? For preaching hate and jihad? Plenty of imams do that right inside the US, without getting hauled to court.

Of course he schemed and celebrated 9/11. I don´t see how a civilian court could turn that into a conviction, can you?

This whole Bin Ladin charade is an effort to stifle discussion about the ideology of jihad and turn it into stupid Hollywood movie where you can solve the problem by shooting the villain.
