Does anyone actually think that Obama will go against the Generals and the Military industries--corporations who supported his campaign? He's bought, let's face it. Perpetual war and Empire so the profiteers can get rich(er). Greed rules the USA, not sanity, or the ridiculous claims of "Freedom and Democracy".... what a sad farce.

@Proxy.LOL.Rapid switches of allegiance.Exactly.Which makes the "situation" almost impossible to resolve. Have just finished reading "Hot Steel" by a New Zealand journalist who lived in Afghanistan for around 12 years.Hefinished the book 3 years ago but predicted all this. Its almost like America has to decide whether to be there permanently of not at all. Must be costing them a daily fortune and a bit disheartening and stressful to start getting shot down by their own "side". Would have Obama been elected if he had promised to send an extra 21,000 troops to Afghanistan? Presumably that was his strategy all along? Thats if he does indeeed have a strategy? I guess the alternative was McCain and he might have nuked the place by now. What a mess.Same for Iraq.Best to just withdraw sheepishly from thess Oil Wars and wars on terror I reckon and leave them all to it.US can then spend all its war chest (if it indeed has one) on developing alternative energy solutions and making computers for all these Afghan and Iraqi guys so they can all join Facebook and friend each other.Wheres the love yall?

I don't think it really matters who is president; from the lowly herdsman right up the the president of Afghanistan, everyone in the entire country switched allegiance faster and more frequently than a junior high school girl and they are half as loyal. Karzi used to be taleban.

"2 more dead servicemen while obama puts Chicago ahead of US servicemen and the security of he United States."

Talk about missing the forest for the trees.

GWB spent 6 years concentrating and throwing major US resources at completely the wrong war and now when President Obama switches US resources to fighting the war that the US should have been putting higher priority on 8 years ago, the no-hopers come out and start slamming him.

Obama's handling of hurricane Katrina was also pretty bad. And he could have fought the civil war a bit better. On the other hand, the Louisiana Purchase was nicely done.

moonbeams: "He, as President, supported his country in trying to get the Olympic games."

And YOU said that Tokyo getting the Olympics would be proof it's not racist, and it didn't get the Olympics, did it? (nudge)

tungincheke: "2 more dead servicemen while obama puts Chicago ahead of US servicemen and the security of he United States. We knew it going in he didn't have the experience to run the country. "

I love it when you guys pretend Obama started the war, or suddenly feel justified in being against it when you were for it the whole time the perpetrator was in office.

2 more dead servicemen while obama puts Chicago ahead of US servicemen and the security of he United States. We knew it going in he didn't have the experience to run the country. Everyday it becomes cleared to those that hoped for change. Its a shame our boys have to die serving under such a dreadful politician.

Yes, it's very sad about the two people who were murdered.

Now let's talk about Obama.

He, as President, supported his country in trying to get the Olympic games.

Honestly, if President Bush tried to get the games for the US and liberals complained, would you not call them "unpatriotic?"

Glenn Beck and Rush Limbough were so happy that Obama failed to get the games. If the shoe was on the other foot, what would happen?

Yeah cheap shot on Obama. george bush had 6 years and it was worse when he came out of office then it was 30 days after we went into Afghanistan.

This happens in every conflict unfortunately. It happened in Iraq on several occasions. They have to do better job to get the bad guys out. That's hard in itself. It's not like the guys with yellow turbans are the bad guys. < :-)
