Pity to all those Afghanis.

Very good example of the weak and ignorant man sitting on the chair as decision maker. What else one can expect. But still there are people to white wash him and try the best to glorify it........

The world is looking down at USA now.

China is emerging as the super power.

Who is responsible for it? The voters. Who are the losers? The tax payers .

When do we realize it???

No more time! The Taliban already gave them a 3 month extension. If any US soldiers are still on the ground at midnight of September 1 the Taliban should bomb the runway to prevent them from ever leaving and then deal with them as hostile invaders...... which is exactly what they are.

this guy’s been in office only 7 months and he’s produced two refugee crises.

The failures were created by decades of failed Americanism. Every single American that voted for Bush 2, Obama, Trump, or Biden is responsible for this mess.

All because you guys freaked out after 9-11 that someone from another country dared do to you guys what you had been doing to those people from other countries. And instead of taking a moment of self-reflection to wonder why, instead you went and did more of that murdering of other people in other lands, and now you're abandoning the people who helped you to be murdered.

Keep it class America. Oh wait, you never were classy in the first place.

If Biden has no ability to handle it then do not touch on it. Or leave the office and ask some one who is capable of doing the job to take care the matter.

Here he has full support of democratic run house and senate. 90% of major news papers and TV channels are there to dress up him and beautify him. Major social media tech giants are under his feet.

Literally no opposition for him

What else one need to do make a decision? Yes I know the answer " brain and courage"

Best way to escape from own responsibly is blame others.

A wonderful description of the failed former guy.

Looks more and more like the disastrous withdrawal from Vietnam only worse. Dem bungle.

Looks more and more like the disastrous withdrawal from Vietnam only worse.

At least in Vietnam, they hadn't already had a Vietnam where they should have learned their lesson. But they went and repeated their complete and utter failure in Vietnam with a complete and utter failure in Afghanistan. All because they didn't want to take a moment to wonder after 9-11 why people from other parts of the world would want to do to them what they do to people in other parts of the world.

All of Afghanistans money is held in international banks. If the Taliban wants any resemblance of a modern nation, they need those funds. Use it as an incentive to act right.

If not, they will be bartering slaves, livestock and mineral resources like the darker times in human history which is what especially China, but also Pakistan, India, and Russia wants to exploit them.

Often when people say stuff like this, they are self-projecting.

You clearly don’t understand the response that would evoke from the hostile invaders.

Are they going to nuke Kabul? Wouldn't surprise me but that won't save the occupiers still there on September 1st.

It is time for the Great Red Dragon from the East..

Ha, that would be the end of humanity as we know it. If you like your social credit score, you can keep your social credit score.

Often when people say stuff like this, they are self-projecting.

Speak for yourself. My nation hasn’t ever invaded, destroyed, and abandoned another country. Nor have I ever supported American militarism in the Middle East.

No, in this case you’re just another American looking to focus the attention away from your country’s supreme failure.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

No, in this case you’re just another American looking to focus the attention away from your country’s supreme failure.

You’re wrong in thinking it was a failure. It was a successful 20 year run of draining coffers, and draining the printing machine, turning 1’s and 0’s into cash and into the accounts of the evil globalists.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

They should stay and fight for their own future. Running away doesn't solve anything. They are only heading toward a bleak future. I would understand if the women and children seek safe passage to other nations but all these men fleeing instead of resisting just makes me sad. Which is why the taliban manage to so easily take the whole country in less than a month.

You can say what you want of the taliban, but at least they manage to endure 20 long years of a brutal war and still fought for what they believe and tried to take back what they lost.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Who is responsible for it?

In rough order of importance: the Afghan military for refusing to fight their own civil war, the Afghan leaders who promptly fled, globalist neo-libs Bush/Blair for their sheer ignorance and naivety about conservative Muslim societies, the US intelligence community who gave Biden a tragically flawed assessment on the situation, the US military who did an equally pathetic job of training local forces.

Biden is pretty far down the list. His main folly was listening to the above experts.

I an sure the U.S. government is going to get all of these refugees vaccinated and masked up at their next destination while keeping them socially distance. They are doing a fantastic job doing this on the southern border we all could tell.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

All because they didn't want to take a moment to wonder after 9-11 why people from other parts of the world would want to do to them what they do to people in other parts of the world.

You work at the SD? We all know why, but it doesn’t matter because we don’t and won’t bow down or apologize to any radical Islamist, now as long as we have weak leadership that refuses to take on the terrorists then we will have a 1979 and 2009 and now. I’m not advocating for a war, but when you negotiate from a position of weakness, appease and capitulate to the enemy, you lost the fight.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Non Party, they had 20 years to get their act together, now they are reaping what they sowed,by not forming a unity government in Afghanistan

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I grew up in Orange County, California (there's another one in Florida), which used to be packed with Vietnamese refugees and their scion. Most have emigrated to locales with lower living costs. This has been positive for local development. I'd say bring it on and bring them out. A few tens of thousands would be a drop in the bucket of Los Angeles.

It is time for the Great Red Dragon from the East..

Look at Africa. Dominated by Westen Europe and then USA for 150 years + until recently. During that time, again and again, never ending wars, coups, famines and always, shocking poverty.

Over the last decade or so China has moved in taking the place of USA. Has resulted in peace, growing prosperity, a middle class, greatly increased life expectency.....

But according to the 'free press' and the average moron, China is doing bad things in Africa.

"Biden's most important message overseas: He's not Trump"

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/bidens-important-message-overseas-hes-trump/story?id=78220169

No longer sufficient message.

As he continually bungles foreign policy, the "honeymoon" is over.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

There are so many mixed messages from this so-administration. Just the other day live, on tv, blinken admitted that the taliban are in control and that this so-called biden administration has to ask for permission to do things.

Beyond sad.

after 8 exhausting months of Joe Biden bungling crisis after crisis, a lot of people who claimed this is true are rethinking their position.

Even Jimmy Carter is now held in high regard in comparison to Biden.

These are people that support the most incompetent, crass, moronic president we’ve ever had.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Your positions seem to be contradictory. Last month, you were complaining that Biden is a warmonger

Well, seems like he is in a way, not intentionally, duly noted, but his actions have officially his actions and policies have now put us in a more easier position to be attacked this action, appeasing and capitulating to the Taliban and allowing them dictate the pullout terms.

because he wasn’t bringing our people home. Now, you are saying Biden is weak. Which is it?

Both

To be fair, this was your position last month.

Not my problem. I’m not the President.

If you are in the OC, why would you want them placed in L.A.? Make them someone else's problem? L.A. has enough trouble and a very very serious homelessness problem that should be taken care of first.

I lobe it when Trump supporters criticize others for anything.

The US Embassy in Kabul advised US citizens at a number of gates at the airport to "leave immediately," noting "security threats outside the gates."

Seriously? So US citizens will be left behind by Biden on next Tuesday, the troops are already packing up for their own departure, people finally made it to the airport somehow without any Biden help, and the response is LEAVE? to go where? to do what, get left behind?

0 ( +5 / -5 )

I’m still on Biden’s side on this. It was the Pentagon that pulled the plug on the air force base, not a word to Biden either, leaving only Kabul airport. Now why would they do that? Biden pushed against the darling Obama’s 2009-10 surge while Hillary plowed forward with both pistols, shooting down any opposition to the surge.

So, again, the red flags are there, the corporate cabal(MIC, MSM, banksters, etc) are giving Biden a lesson of their reach and control over the mugs of US citizens drained and color blind of compassion by the sensationalization of news movies and teevee. And besides, the one party Reps and Dems and corporate MSM have successfully destroyed any third party candidates or rouge party members, except for Trump.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Biden really has been an abysmal failure of a president. He'll be lucky to make it through one term, and 2024 is going to be a massacre for the Dems. Trump or DeSantis is winning next time at this rate.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

total disaster. Biden administration says "no one is stranded" and all US citizens who want to come home will be brought home. Yet.....

Maybe we can ask the Brit paratroopers to rescue them, as Biden wont.

"Two dozen San Diego students and their families who traveled to Afghanistan this summer are now stranded in the country and unable to get to Kabul's airport, school and congressional spokespeople told CNN."

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Twitter was a mess but the world was relatively at peace before

Twitter is relatively calmer but the world (Middle East & now Afghan) is a mess..

Heh, I remember when Joe Biden became the nominee, and you guys were thanking the Democrats for "making Trump a 2-term president."

How'd that turn out?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

@Blacklabel

*"Two dozen San Diego students and their families who traveled to Afghanistan this summer are now stranded in the country... ."*

So maybe, um, they shouldn't gone in the first place?!? This summer? We've been hearing reports over this summer of the Taliban making huge gains, taking over territory. If these people (who also traveled during a global pandemic!) are stranded, it's basically their fault. The US govt and military can't stop people from being reckless and stupid.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

It seems to me the US troops should have pulled out of Afghanistan because the military mission (to capture/kill Bin Laden) was over in 2011. The US military mission was not supposed to spread democracy to Afghans. This is a big mistake from the beginning. Islamic Afghan people are living on/with Koran, not democracy.

Same, I was also born and grew up half of my life in Orange County and I disagree. One reason as to why the County is just a jewel and one of the best place to live on the planet is because of its high cost of living and strict real estate home prices. I think LA County would be better, they have a better government and entitlement system which could better assist these people and once they are on their feet and can financially support themselves, then gladly, they should move to OC. The Vietnamese have done this and done this extraordinary well. Living in OC should be earned, not given.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Talibans are Afghans...

1 ( +1 / -0 )

You praise Orange County

Yes

for the reasons that people are leaving California: high cost of living and high real estate prices.

LA County is a mess. But they do provide a lot of government assistance, but other than that, housing cost, basic cost of living has completely destroyed the middle class, the homelessness population is completely out of control, so they should leave, if they can afford to live in OC they should come, if they can’t, then they should relocate.

It’s never long before your true colors shine through, Mr. Woodward.

Nice try. Not a liberal, but nice try anyways.

How it started: 'We're fighting them there, so we don't have to fight them here'

How it ended: 'We're bringing them here so we don't have to fight them over there'

"The likelihood there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely." - Joe Biden, July 8

Aaaaand let's start the clock and see how long it takes before Japan Today removes this post.

Doesn't fit the proper narrative, after all.

Never mind that all I'm doing is directly quoting someone.

Well said.

You are lucky. Still your post is there. May be the guy who actively removing the posts is suffering from something... ha ha ha ..

Biden is pretty far down the list. His main folly was listening to the above experts

Well he was a career politician, senator for decades, VP for 8 years, how could he be down on that list.. the question is who is/are the decision makers, he does not sound like one.. more like someone signing off as instructed.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

uh huh. and if Trump were president and did this, you would be screaming that he left US citizens and children to die. That orange dotard is abandoning Americans and children. Impeach!

But cause its Biden, its the US citizen fault, kids dont matter and they should expect no support from our government.

Gotcha.

So maybe, um, they shouldn't gone in the first place?!?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

"But the people are afraid of a bad economic situation"

As I've posted before, you'd see chaos and crowding at ANY airport in a developing country if the US was offering free flights and visas to New York. Most Afghans are dirt poor (and now likely to get even more poorer if their foreign employer is gone). Getting aboard one of those C-17s is like winning the lottery for them.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The withdrawal agreement was that the US troops needed to leave by the end of the month. It probably allows for movement of authorized people out of Afghanistan while the airport is under Taliban control.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Two dozen San Diego students and their families who traveled to Afghanistan this summer are now stranded in the country.

If they are of fighting age, being students is just a cover story. The Taliban should arrest them.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The Taliban must be fine people because a Canadian cabinet minister called them "our brothers" today.
