Trump is on the wrong side of an 80-20 issue again.

Send the help, the more money wasted in lost causes, the harder the fall for the circUS..

Of course it does in the war uniparty.

Veterans are losing their home ,while veterans are on the brink of foreclosure, due to the government letting veterans defaults on their loan, due to the covid crisis ,that impacted them harshly

Trump is on the wrong side of an 80-20 issue again

Didnt Trump say “the survival of Ukraine is important to the U.S.”?

Hasn’t Trump always been a pretty strong supporter of Israel?

What side is he wrong on?

Taiwan will never be part of China :)

Senators can't afford to be looney toons like Representatives. Good to see this essential aid being passed.

Patriots have to come together in a bipartisan manner to defeat fascism again.

Didnt Trump say “the survival of Ukraine is important to the U.S.”?

Six months after he should have changed course and about two years after he should have started backing Ukraine.

Fair enough but I’m not going to judge someone for changing their views on something. It’s what he says now that matters

That's what you call a flip-flop.

Donald Trump Jr. joined in the castigation of Mr. Johnson and his handling of Ukraine aid.

So what is his real position.

Really? He isn't changing his views. He's saying whatever is politically expedient for him.

It's like his position on abortion, he will say what he needs to get elected and then change his mind.

The guy is a serial liar.

3 ( +10 / -7 )

That's what you call a flip-flop.

Call it whatever you want, someone willing to change their opinion about a topic in light of becoming more informed on it is a good thing. Supporting Ukraine is good and I won’t criticize anyone who comes to that conclusion.

Really? He isn't changing his views. He's saying whatever is politically expedient for him.

How do you know what his core views are? Are you a mind reader?

He's saying whatever is politically expedient for him.

48% of Republicans and 31% of Americans believe the U.S. is sending too much to Ukraine so I don’t see how this would be politically expedient to him

Won't make any difference. Russia has seized the initiative in the conflict. The pendulum has swung their way bigtime and it won't be swinging back anytime soon. Most of this package is spent stateside. They blew their counteroffensive and now manpower is the Achilles heel of the Kyiv-regime forces. Another day, another few settlements. And this is how it will roll from here on out. Slow and steady wins the race, gradually but surely, chipping away bit by bit and keeping that loss-exchange ratio grinding away.

Oh, it will. Ukraine have been holding back and now they be able to fight as they were before. Russia have been using meat grinder tactics because they don't value soldiers lives.

Expect Ukraine to hit back.

Another day, another few settlements. And this is how it will roll from here on out.

No. It won't. Ukraine don't have to fight with one hand tied.

7 ( +13 / -6 )

Won't make any difference.

You're right, Russia still won't be able conquer Ukraine.

It will make a difference to the thousands of Russian families who will be grieving over their dead men due to these weapons.

Trump said the invasion was “genius” and he killed an effort to fund the border BECAUSE it contained UA aid (and took away a talking point).

Hasn’t Trump always been a pretty strong supporter of Israel?

Trump gives not one fig about Israel and would trade the whole country for a can of spam if it benefited him personally.

What side is he wrong on?

Every side.

It's an election year. More pork for everyone!

-1 ( +6 / -7 )

Oh, maybe not the best use of language when talking about Israel. Let's call it tofu barrel politics as usual.

It's a long way to Kyiv and hopefully Ukraine is laying landmines for Russians to receive on the way.

-1 ( +7 / -8 )

Trump said the invasion was “genius”

Calling something genius doesn’t mean you agree with it. Genghis Khan has often been referred to as a military genius, that doesn’t mean his actions are condoned

an effort to fund the border BECAUSE it contained UA aid

I haven’t seen any article saying that UA aid was the reason Trump was opposed to the border bill so please post a link

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Examining the weapons package, it is overwhelmingly a rehash of the previous packages. Surplus Bradleys and M113s, MRAPs from Afghanistan.

There is nothing game changing, definitely no "Wunderwaffe" and nothing that hasn't been sent before. NYT had an article about how $10 mil Abrams tanks are getting greased by $500 buck drones.

People are fleeing the country - including border guards and others - to avoid being conscripted into the next disaster.

-6 ( +6 / -12 )

Yes, so what? It's better than what they have now, and will help hold off the Moscow regime. Russian tanks and ships are also getting wrecked by cheap drones.

It is too late now, the Ukrainian lines are crumbling !

BIG MISTAKE, all what this money will do is Prolong the wars, and put more cash $$$ in the pockets of the corrupt war mongers running these two wars.

KEEP this cash $ at home and improve the lives of thousands of American's.

Just logically, what was the reason then? Denying Biden a "win" in an election year?

For a supporter of a country that has been manufacturing the same shells since WW2, you are very obsessed with wunderwaffe. Western weapons work and are being wielded by Ukrainians who hate Russia with the burning of a thousand suns.

Opposing Putin's land grab is not warmongering. In fact it is setting the conditions for real peace.

“Lindsey Graham, a longtime GOP hawk who voted against it in February because it wasn’t paired with legislation to stem migration at the border, praised Johnson after the vote and indicated he will vote for it this time.”

Graham flipped? Say it ain’t so!

6 ( +7 / -1 )

That's what you call a flip-flop.

Call it whatever you want, someone willing to change their opinion about a topic in light of becoming more informed on it is a good thing.

You know, like saying "life begins at conception" is sacrosanct...then flipping and saying killing babies until the 15th week is fine...

Nice to see Johnson, Jeffries, Schumer, McConnell, and Biden all agree and get this bill passed...

Even Trump had to flip in the end going from "not one taxpayer dime to Ukraine" to "well, its election season"...

Trump's backbone is as loose as his zipper...

And this bill sticks it to Moscow Marjorie and her handlers in the Kremlin...

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Well, now the war is definitely over. Ukraine will choke on dollars that are so awaited. Ukrainians flee to different countries. Who wants to go where and who can go where. American humanitarian aid will drown you

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

Give our closest ally, and only democracy in the Middle East, all they need to defeat the Islamic extremist terrorists.

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

He isn't changing his views. He's saying whatever is politically expedient for him.

As do 90% of other politicians including Biden , dont they. SOP.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

They should be sanctioning Israel not giving them more weapons to commit genocide!

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Marjorie (Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene) is not happy about this at all.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

So you've been saying for 2 years. And most likely will be in another 2.

It is too late now, the Ukrainian lines are crumbling !

4 ( +6 / -2 )

This marks the beginning of the fall of the Russian wannabe empire. It's going to take them 2-3 generations to recover from this mess that Putin has made.

Call it whatever you want, someone willing to change their opinion about a topic in light of becoming more informed on it is a good thing.

He hasn't changed his mind. He still opposes giving money to Ukraine. But he lost because Mike Johnson brought the bill to the house to vote on. Nit wanting to look bad he says what is required.

Supporting Ukraine is good and I won’t criticize anyone who comes to that conclusion.

I agree it is good. Trump doesn't.

Really? He isn't changing his views. He's saying whatever is politically expedient for him.

How do you know what his core views are? Are you a mind reader?

Yup. I have seen too much of Trump to know what is happening here. Prior experience.

He's saying whatever is politically expedient for him.

48% of Republicans and 31% of Americans believe the U.S. is sending too much to Ukraine so I don’t see how this would be politically expedient to him

So, you do realise those are minority numbers right. It means that most people approve sending money to Ukraine.

But the political expedience is more about not being on the losing side like MTG. He doesn't want to look like a loser.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Trump is on the wrong side of an 80-20 issue again.

According to the establishment side, most definitely.

Trump said the invasion was “genius” and he killed an effort to fund the border BECAUSE it contained UA aid (and took away a talking point).

It wouldn't matter, Biden is President, he undid every single Trump Presidential executive order, and he can reinstate it, and why is that? He is the President, believe it or not. This admin and the left needs to stop peddling that lie

Trump gives not one fig about Israel

Wrong, Trump has always been a supporter of Isreal

and would trade the whole country for a can of spam if it benefited him personally.

If that were the case he wouldn't be running for office, he certainly doesn't need this Dem sham case, but he pushes on.

Every side.

Yeah, the establishment says this daily...lol

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

They should be sanctioning Israel not giving them more weapons to commit genocide!

Exactly - another mass grave with hundreds of bodies found in Nasser hospital. from Al Jazeera yesterday -

** *UN human rights chief calls for independent and transparent inquiry after Palestinian authorities uncover hundreds of bodies at hospital. - -Volker Turk, the United Nations human rights chief, has said he is “horrified” by the destruction of Nasser Medical Complex and al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip and mass graves found in and around the hospitals amid Israel’s war on Gaza...*

Yet Biden says " there is no evidence of genocide / war crimes by IDF in Gaza ".

Battle lines are unchanged.

But they are. Some here may not like it but Russians have been grinding away, slowly and at high cost no doubt, but they have taken more villages in the last few weeks.

Battle lines are unchanged.

But they are. Some here may not like it but Russians have been grinding away, slowly and at high cost no doubt, but they have taken more villages in the last few weeks.

That is the cost of Johnson's indecision and waiting over 6 months.

However, battle-lines have been pretty static for over a year.

But they are. Some here may not like it but Russians have been grinding away, slowly and at high cost no doubt, but they have taken more villages in the last few weeks.

They'll have to be satisfied thinking "it was good while it lasted". This newest development spells the end for Putin's war of ego.

That may or may not be the case but doesnt change the fact Russians have made that progress.

They'll have to be satisfied thinking "it was good while it lasted".

Maybe, maybe not, only time will tell unfortunately. Pitty the future casualties all around but hey, MIC will get more profit$$.
