Finally!

Ayman al-Zawahiri  got the 404, it seems.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

You can’t kill an ideology.

2x$150000 for the Hellfire missiles and $25million bounty for the information leading to his location. He was just a figurehead. Al Qaeda uses an asymmetric command and control system. New leaders will pop up again and again.

-7 ( +11 / -18 )

Good.

This took a long time and no one administration can claim total responsibility, to be sure. A team effort.

Still, the success of this killing vindicated the US's decision to withdraw from Afghanistan. That is to sayL

Biden was right. And his critics were wrong,

3 ( +14 / -11 )

Sooner or later terrorists will pay for it..

Thanks Joe !!..

Biden’s decision to kill Zawahiri is sure to be compared to the cautious stance he initially took in meetings that led to then-President Barack Obama’s order for the Pakistan raid that killed bin Laden in 2011.

Well done Dems !!..

Finally! God works in mysterious ways. Great news to hear this morning!

1 ( +13 / -12 )

In a statement, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed that a strike took place and strongly condemned it, calling it a violation of "international principles."

I would say that the Taliban are violating the rights of every Afghani women and violating the international principles that they have a right to work, wear what they want to, play sports and live a decent life.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

"...for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

10 ( +15 / -5 )

Pain of envy and frustration in the Trumpist awnings..

LOL !!..

-4 ( +8 / -12 )

nice to see that drone striking of terrorists in foreign countries is now acceptable again and even praiseworthy.

-13 ( +6 / -19 )

Tokyo Living - this is not about which administration did what. Taking out terrorists is a very bipartisan endeavor and supported surely by most people worldwide.

10 ( +15 / -5 )

Better late than never

Finally! God works in mysterious ways. Great news to hear this morning!

so you approve of Biden giving the strike the go ahead?

4 ( +12 / -8 )

Trump golfs with enablers of Islamic terror, Joe kills terrorists.

Put another way:

Bin Laden and Al-Zawahiri are dead and GM is alive.

You know whom to thank.

0 ( +10 / -10 )

nice to see that drone striking of terrorists in foreign countries is now acceptable again and even praiseworthy.

well if those countries knowingly harbor those terrorist's and do nothing, this is the result

12 ( +16 / -4 )

Blast from the past! Very unusual for me to give Bass a thumbs-up.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

so you approve of Biden giving the strike the go ahead?

Whom ever, I even approve of Mickey Mouse offing that guy.

Trump golfs with enablers of Islamic terror,

No, he got rid of Soleimani and El Baghdadi some of the most nastiest people around. Look, I get it, can’t get everyone, but at least he got 2 people that were responsible for killing hundreds of Americans. Again, the main thing is, they’re dead. Whether it’s Obama getting OBL killed, Trump-Soleimani and El Baghdadi and Biden-Zawahiri it’s all music to my ears. I just want them dead, even if I don’t like certain leaders.

-3 ( +8 / -11 )

Excellent work by the CIA.

Trump's withdrawal plan eventually worked in the US' favor as it lulled Zawahiri into lowering his guard.

Many of the CIA members who were part of the team responsible for tracking down Zawahiri were inspired during the Trump administration to intensify efforts to find and terminate Zawahiri; and again, great work by that department.

-6 ( +8 / -14 )

I remembered hearing about him since the 80s when he was complaining about Egypt jails and the U.S. in perfect English. All of his Al Qaeda videos were in Arabic though. Glad he is finally gone nonetheless!

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Again, the main thing is, they’re dead. Whether it’s Obama getting OBL killed, Trump-Soleimani and El Baghdadi and Biden-Zawahiri it’s all music to my ears

And yet neither Joe nor Obama needed to snuggle up with a bunch of sport-washing terrorists to get their guys.

Joe and Obama just killed terrorists. They didn’t golf with them.

2 ( +11 / -9 )

Trump's withdrawal plan eventually worked in the US' favor as it lulled Zawahiri into lowering his guard.

not before 48 marines died and he released 5000 taliban poisoners, it was Biden who ended the war.

Many of the CIA members who were part of the team responsible for tracking down Zawahiri were inspired during the Trump administration

oh and they didnt lose their inspiration when Biden because president, fact is Obama ended Bin Laden and Biden ended Zawahiri, this is going to drive another president crazy, wait for the incoming Truth social press release lol

3 ( +11 / -8 )

And yet neither Joe nor Obama needed to snuggle up with a bunch of sport-washing terrorists to get their guys.

Ok, whitewash the Iranian snuggling…

Joe and Obama just killed terrorists. They didn’t golf with them.

…as Trump had killed 2 of the most radical terrorists that have had a lot of American blood on their hands

-11 ( +5 / -16 )

not before 48 marines died and he released 5000 taliban poisoners, it was Biden who ended the war.

Let’s not forget, in that famous prison swap with Bergdahl, a prisoner swap was conducted and two of the 5 most radical terrorists that were released are now leading and in charge of Afghanistan.

Many of the CIA members who were part of the team responsible for tracking down Zawahiri were inspired during the Trump administration

Very true. But again, the most important thing is that the trash was taken out. If it were ordered and executed by Kim Kardashian, I still would be excited.

If it had been ordered by Kim Kardashian, I would pledge to watch Season 21.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

Hard to kill cockroaches ....so well done USA

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Donald said a few days ago that he still hasn’t gotten to the bottom of who caused 9/11.

I think this was President Biden’s way of helping donald to understand.

3 ( +10 / -7 )

Allah’ Ak’bar

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

and so what?

tomorrow they will have new leader....what kind of "victory" is that?

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

Ding-dong the witch is dead!

UBL got taken out during the Obama administration, and UBL’s sidekick got nailed under the Biden administration, like two matching bookends.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

"and so what?"

A victory that ensures the new leaders will not sleep easy and will be using a kalishnikov as a pillow.

What goes around comes around.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Now if only someone would “get to the bottom of 9/11” as Don is suggesting…..

A) Did that 9/11 commission there was this whole report I bet you read (stifles a snort).

B) Kind of begs the question “What was HE doing for four years?”

Oh yeah, golfing.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Biden finally does something useful.

yet all the leftists want to talk about is a golf tournament.

Poor Joe can’t catch a break.

-13 ( +3 / -16 )

Nice shot! Eventually these Al Qaeda rats have to emerge from their caves, which is when the drones can do their great work.

One less terrorist to worry about.

Pretty clear many posters - however - are very upset with this news.

1 ( +8 / -7 )

Pretty clear many posters - however - are very upset with this news.

I don’t think so, I think everyone is happy that this guy is pushing daisies. Again, the main goal is to kill him and how or who ordered is really irrelevant

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

Biden was VP was Osama Bin Laden was killed. President when Zawahiri, the 9/11 mastermind was killed.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Why is the US allowed to get away with drone missile strikes in other countries? Did they get permission from the Afghanistan government???

Wonder how the US would feel if another country launched a drone strike on US soil targeting someone they wanted?

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Why is the US allowed to get away with drone missile strikes in other countries?

Not allowed. You kill our people, you pay the price.

Did they get permission from the Afghanistan government???

As if the Taliban would say to us, “ok, go for it!”

Wonder how the US would feel if another country launched a drone strike on US soil targeting someone they wanted?

They can try, but they won’t.

-3 ( +7 / -10 )

Wonder how the US would feel if another country launched a drone strike on US soil targeting someone they wanted?

You mean like 9/11? No need to wonder.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

While donald is wining, dining and golfing with the financiers of 9/11 , President Biden took out the mastermind of the attack.

The contrast cannot be any more sharper!!!

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Towingtheline:

VERY happy to answer this question for you. When a government (such as it is) knowingly gives shelter aid or comfort to a global terrorist (as he most definitely was), that government gives up its right to sovereignty with regard to airspace, etc.

This area of Kabul was the best. There is ZERO possibility that the Taliban didn’t know he was there. They tolerated or actively sheltered him. Either way, it’s a violation of the Doha agreement with the US and thus the parts related to airspace are null and void.

Americans don’t have to worry about this as we don’t harbor mass murderers in the global terror movement.

He got what he deserved and the Taliban are lucky we didn’t exact revenge for harboring the #1 Al Queda target in violation of our agreements.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

tomorrow they will have new leader

who will be peeing himself knowing he could be blown up at any time, anywhere

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Excellent news this morning to see this. Not so excellent to see @Rodney and @Eastman putting a dampener on it...but I guess from your Kremlin bunker its not so good to see a Democracy killing the bad guys!

4 ( +6 / -2 )

While donald is wining, dining and golfing with the financiers of 9/11 , President Biden took out the mastermind of the attack.

But he took out two other of the most nastiest radical Islamists that were responsible for claiming so many US servicemen

The contrast cannot be any more sharper!!!

If you want to make it political, that is your choice, I think what is more important is that these people are deader than a doornail, I don't really care who pulled the trigger. If liberals want to play sandbox politics that's their choice, but we should be celebrating that these people are now a part of history.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Still talking about golf I see.

finally something praise worthy and the leftists still go right back to Trump.

wouldn’t get too cocky, the last time Biden “killed a terrorist” we found later it was a civilian family in a van.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Because this same guy was also announced as dead back in 2020 as well, or did you forget already?

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Pretty clear many posters - however - are very upset with this news.

The same posters that are hoping for a Russian victory in Ukraine

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Most likely killed using the AGM-114R9X AKA “the flying Ginsu.”

No warhead but a 100 lbs. seeker flying at Mach 1.3 with 6 long blades spinning at high speed.

Thus no collateral damage but a messy cleanup on aisle 9, and a closed (or multi-jar) casket funeral.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Honorable sir, the financiers of 9/11 are wining , dining and golfing with donald, that’s very worrying, don’t you agree.

I am glad Al zawahri is dead, I just hope it didn’t disrupt the golf schedule at donald’s course.

’Sandbox politics’ Donald’s golf course, very funny indeed!!!!

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Al zawahri was closely connected to the saudi royal family , the same one which is financing Donald’s golf course.

I just hope his killing doesn’t affect the Saudi commitments to financing donald and his golf courses .

0 ( +4 / -4 )

connected to the saudi royal family , the same one which is financing Donald’s golf course.

The same ones Biden went to see just weeks ago? Same king he shook hands with? His trip “legitimized” them.

they not financing his course. they financing a golf league that many of the best golfers in the world happily participate in. No vitriol for any one them? Or this league should be banned?

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Trump does.

Not once did he say that for the record, he did, however, say that Biden wasn't up for the job, and seeing how he's done geopolitically, he's kinda right.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Trump never does anything unless to put dollars in his pockets.

As does this admin.

Tried to raise money from the death of his first wife. Who does that?

Quite a few people depend on the situation and cause, but all that is irrelevant, the most important thing is that Al Qaida has suffered another devastating blow and that should make everyone feel good.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Not a fan of the fist bump either but at least Joe didn't, I don't know......

Take money to host terrorist-lovers at his course?

Allow his son in law to run a wealth fund he isn't qualified to.. Or....

Get Saudi oil barons to bail out his 666 tower with over SIX HUNDREND MILLION DOLLARS in loans WHILE he was an employee of the administration. or.....

Not for nothing actually say OUT LOUD "Nobody has gotten to the bottom of 9/11 after HE INVOKED THE STATES SECRETS act to make sure that the FBI report did not become public.

So, compared to that, - Fist bump.... Not that bad.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

I really was enjoying the last week of few to no US politics related articles here.

it’s better for advertisers to not be associated with all this leftist obsessive crying over Trump when neither he nor his golf event were mentioned in the article.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

For Bass and some others here, no President finds these terrorists. There are military / intelligence / spec ops professionals whos careers span multiple Presidents from both parties who's job and who's passion is to find these terrorists and either capture or kill them. It is a team effort to find them and to plan the op to either capture or kill them. Presidents get a briefing on the plan and have the final say on go or not to go, but Presidents do not sit in on the detailed planning that makes these ops happen. It is a credit to the intel and spec ops communities that they have consistently come up with such good plans for Presidents to approve. Not a lot of them have gone bad over the years, a lot more successes than failures, especially recently in Syria.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Just give them, and IS etc some land in the desert. If they can build a functioning state with human rights and respect for other sovereign nations then let them be. That is what freedom and democracy is all about. Unfortunately this model didn't work in Israel…

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

And obtw, can anyone really believe the at least some senior members of the Taliban didn't know Al Zawahiri wasn't living in Kabul, their capital, apparently out in the open?

This was a CIA effort.

Made possible by Trump giving powers to that agency.

Powers that were weakened by Obama.

Funny how people flipping out over Trump's influence on Roe v. Wade are now in the dark about the responsible administration behind this recent successful CIA drone strike.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

We know this, no need to split hairs, we talk about the leader who presided over the green light of these missions, we get it. Thanks anyway.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Al zawahri was closely connected to the saudi royal family , the same one which is financing Donald’s golf course.

He had distant relatives who came from what is now Saudi Arabia but Al Zawahiri was Egyptian surgeon (early on a surgeon with the Egyptian Army before turing against them) and closely connected to the Muslim Brotherhood. He was involved in multiple terrorist groups in Egypt seeking to establish and Islamic caliphate there before he became involved with Osama bin Laden and fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan. I have seen nothing to indicate he had any ties to the Saudi royal family.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Very bad, the Saudis didn't even want to talk to Biden,

And the counter argument from a Middle Eastern point of view:

China, Ukraine, and the President's son will be a huge part of 2023 investigations, get ready.

Bass is nothing if not on-brand. Captain whatabout strikes again.

No doubt said hearings will be as scintillating as Benghazi when a bunch of white men got their asses kicked by one H. Clinton on national tv for 11 hours straight.

And if it’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Let’s have a look at Jr’s widely acknowledged coke habit, Barbie’s sudden and unexplained approval of 60+ patents while the turd-in-chief was in China, and Eric’s Russia connections, shall we?

Bet Bass wouldn’t much care to go down that road....

3 ( +6 / -3 )

He was taken out while on a balcony by two hellfire missiles. No one else was killed.

After what happened in Afghanistan you would hope that. seriously!

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

But back on topic. Bin Laden killed and not one terrorist-loving golfer was smoozed.

And today Al=zawahiri is dead and again, not one journalist murdering, terror funding, sport washing Saudi was fluffed at a family-owned course because the Child in Chief got his panties in a bunch when the PGA took away his tour stop for being a jerk.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

But back on topic. Bin Laden killed and not one terrorist-loving golfer was smoozed.

Because it was in a secluded compound with no one around, so there you go.

And today Al=zawahiri is dead and again,

Again? What, the guy is a zombie??
