Going postal was essentially a monopoly position of the XY chromosome.

I thought it was a no-no for Americans to say such things?

From the article- "Bishop fired at least three shots, hitting her brother once and hitting her bedroom wall before police took her into custody at gunpoint, he said."

There is a one-liner, "Honest officer I accidentally pulled the trigger when I shot him...all three times!"

I never imagined it was a true story, and the cops were either so stupid or so corrupt that they filed the event under "accident".

"but someone who often had difficulty explaining difficult concepts."

Could be why they are called "difficult concepts"? I nominate this for non-sequitor of the year!

It is impossible to say that this Alabama professor was a "liberal." Her personal politics were not indicated by the article. The implication is that places of higher learning, by their very nature, are places of liberalism.

There are indeed people in this world who are willing to pull a gun on you. The conservative philosophy is the one that endorses putting guns in their hands in the first place.

Apparently she was a socialist.

Apparently, she strongly believed in her second amendment rights.

And who are the ones who strongly endorse that irresponsible people acquire guns?

I have no problem with irresponsible people owning guns (as long as they are legal). -It's these new gun-toting Libs that have me worried.

Biathlon = Guns on skis = O.K. (and an exciting HD Olympic sport) College Libs with a low tolerance and limited field of view = bad

I seem to recall Vice President Joe Biden saying he was pro-gun ownership.

But the article isn't about him or 2nd Amendment supporters. It's about a woman who shot her own brother, 3 strangers, attempted a car-jacking, once robbed a car dealership and was also apparently a person of interest in a bomb scare.

A Boston Herald article had this observation:

"A family source said Bishop, a mother of four children - the youngest a third-grade boy - was a far-left political extremist who was “obsessed” with President Obama to the point of being off-putting.

"But Mercedes Paz, a Brookline biochemist who also oversaw Bishop’s work in 1993, described her as a friend and a likable woman."
