but Jackson said that the only place he has had a similarly humiliating experience in the past was at a U.S. airport

Glad that was mentioned. So true, so true.

the horror.

Outrageous. Refreshing to know he is so humble, not wanting to pursue a billion dollar defamation lawsuit like other nationalities would do. Nonetheless this racial profiling is despicable, and I sure hope to see condemnation from people here who are so quick to condemn others.

"made to dance"

They didn't fire bullets at his feet did they?

It doesn't make any difference whether they fired bullets or not, this is crap how they treated an American citizen.

Passport shown, enough.

Even the interrogation is cool, but that's enough.

Maybe if we send them another. $170,000,000.00 they'll quit harrassing American citizens. < :-)

I am impressed with this man that he did not want to make a legal issue out of it and go chasing millions of dollars. On the other hand I believe he has every right to send a bill to the Israeli Immigration authorities for his two dance performances.

Not everyone has a perfect experience. These are probably rare and will never change considering people do the checking and not all people are politically correct.

More paranoia in Israel.

More paranoia in Israel.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

Jackson said he did not plan to press the matter further, saying the numerous apologies he has received from American dignitaries and his Israeli hosts is “enough for me.”

No apologies were necessary. If anything, kudos should be given to the security guards for the clever, not to mention entertaining, way they verified his identity.
