Many of the “conspiracy theory” websites that the intelligent ones on here love to deride, we’re reporting on these islands being built years before the MSM decided let the “real people” know about them (probably on que from the deep state).

Russia masterly provoked the US for decades without leading to war, wonder if China can do the same.

You obviously think the crews of these two ships weren't placed on a combat footing.

China, if you are listening (and watching-and I know you are) this is exactly why we in the West do not trust China's intentions. You're actions of scooping up a handful of sand and declaring the whole of the South China Sea as belonging to China simply is not acceptable. 

If anybody wants to peer into the future and see what a China Dominated world would look like, they only need look at the way China treats the South China Sea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Tibetans and Uighurs to see the world of tomorrow.

Many more countries need to conduct freedom of navigation ops inside the illusionary 12 mile line of the Chinese man made islands that have no legal territory land rights. The more that do the more reinforced the message to China that they have no sovereignty in the South China sea. Other nations like the US should construct their own islands in the vicinity to show it is international waters and it will stay that way.

Just destroy the chinese ship. Their marine force is so weak, they wont be able to react.

Yeah, they would be way smarter just to sell off all of their american bonds, crashing the dollar and the American economy.

Oh well, there goes the Chinese economy.

China has no secret weapon in their holding US securities. If they sell them all now prior to any actual conflict with the U.S. they hurt the US economy which hurts their export market which in turn hurts their own economy. Alternatively, other nations will buy up whatever China sells off and there will no significant effect on the US economy. If China waits until there is an actual conflict with the US, we will freeze all their assets as we have always done with adversaries. Those securities China holds aren't sitting in Beijing.

Hopefully, these man-made islands are simply a future bargaining chip waiting to be used by the Chinese, though if the skirmishes turn nasty, then China will, without doubt, come off the worse in the short term, and the subsequent breakup of China will have significant repercussions Globally.
