No, it is about Israel saying that a nuclear weaponed Iran must be prevented.
Someone, huh? Anyway, as I answered above: Iran supported and sponsored Hamas and Hezbollah have been trying to destroy Israel for years. Iran started this, not Israel. Israel was willing to help when Iran has that huge earthquake. Iran, being Iran, refused the much needed help.
So? What you are saying is recent poles confirm Israelis don't want to be attacked by a nuclear weaponed Iran as they have already been attacked for years by Iranian supported, supplied and trained Hamas and Hezbollah.
Please. Don't you realize how obvious you are? Anyway, Israel has never done anything psychopathic. Iran is the one that wanted to kill Rushdie because he wrote a book. That, my obviouse poster, is psychopathic.

I have not met many Iranians, but the ones I did meet were all right.
Its their government I have a problem with. Same as I have a problem with my own government.
just-a-bigguy
So who 'demonrized' the Iranians?
Seavey
Name me a country in which government troops never shot protestors. And these protests do not appear to be Sunday Picnic protests. The protestors were violent. I hear that only three were shot, according to confirmed sources. Now, in no way do I side with the Iranian government, but I am surprised only three were shot and killed. The Iranian government did plenty of other heinous things, such as deny permits to protest and putting opposition leaders under house arrest. I see no need to inflate what happened.
No. They execute people for homosexual acts, and its not the same thing. I don't agree with it, but its lame to make it out to be more than it actually is, same with the protest shootings.

We are talking about Iran, not 'name me a country that'. The claim is that the western media has made Iran scary. I am merely saying its government did it all on its own. You agreed with this earlier on in this discussion. Government protected hit sqads went out into the streets killing innocent people. Why exactly would you attempt to suddenly defend such behavior?
6 or half dozen, it is the same thing. Why, may I ask, are you splitting hairs over this? They execute people for homosexual acts because they are homosexuals. It is wrong and there is certainly nothing wrong with me pointing it out. Does my wording somehow make the Iranian government more unrealistically scary than they really are? No. Then, what exactly is the point of your post?
salemi
some days ago in a accident many plestinian children were killed, many people of israel write on page of israel police in facebook that they have hope that every day happen that event more and more so the plestinian people became extincted, i think that, that is the major politic of israel about all the muslims.
Ben Jack
We are not talking about what some abnormal citizens of a country might do on social websites. This article is referring to actual aggression on the part of the Iranian govenment. They have threatened Israel's very existence many times and they support Hamas and Hezbollah whose goal is gthe destruction of the state of Israel.
Ben Jack
Iran supported and sponsored Hamas and Hezbollah have been trying to destroy Israel for years. You know that BerryBlue/Sabiwabi. Iran supports the rockets both Hamas and Hezbollah shoot. You have always said, BerryBlue/Sabiwabi that you want Israel to be destroyed so I can understand why you would like that, but peace loving people don't like that sort of thing.
Ben Jack
Not particularly either for me. Most intelligent people know the Iranian people are not the same thing as the Iranian government. This is a travelog that, even Mr. Steve admits, is something that shows the daily life of some of the people. He was watched by police the whole time. There have been many equally good programs on BBC as well. It does not change the fact that the Iranian government's actions are a concern to peace loving people all over the world.
Stu Katz
Unfortunate though, most of this concern is due to the medias drum beating. There are other nations, many others, that concern me much more than Iran.
Ben Jack
I can imagine. However, this article and discussion are about Iran, not the many other countries that concern you.
Stu Katz
Actually, its about a small group of Israelis reaching out to Iranians, and about the Israeli leaders talking about attacking Iran.
As someone posted above: "Who is threatening who?"
And I agree with some of the posters above that the views of the Israeli leaders do reflect those of the majority of Israelis; recent poles confirm that.
Having lived and continuing to live through the consequences of the Fukushima meltdown(s), I am very concerned about Israel doing something as psychopathic as attacking Iranian nuclear sites (which they are entitled to have).
Berryblue
No, no, no, the petrifying picture of Iran was produced by western media.
Ben Jack
Yeah, sure. It was the western media that shot Iranian protesters and executes people for being homosexuals. Yeah, sure. I'd love to hear more but I am due back on the planet earth.
WilliB
I bet her wonderful touch.feely facebook page will be read by Ahmedinejad, who then decides that the "dirty bacteria Israel" should not be "wiped off the map". Not....
Berryblue
Where have you been these past years? Who is threatening whom? I hope you are not so naive as to believe the "wipe Israel off the map" nonsense? And who is supporting terrorism, like the murder of Iranian scientists, bankers, ...and the creation of Stuxnet?
Berryblue
Salemi,
There are many good Israelis, but I am afraid that what you describe is also very common there, probably even the majority.
Berryblue
BTW, I am now watching a video called Rick Steves' Lectures:Iran
An American guy visiting Iran. Quite interesting so far. Look it up!
Stu Katz
Very enlightening! So different from everything I had seen before.
Thanks for posting : )
