More gang control is needed.

Eh, I think better social and economic integration is the key. People with jobs who feel like they belong don't need gangs to fill those gaps in their life.

Gang crime looms over election in Sweden as shootings spread:

One would least expect beautiful Sweden, a quiet/peaceful/serene Scandinavian nation to be that violent.

Could these uncalled-for mad shootings be stopped immediately?

Live is invaluable, it has always been..

I wonder if these gangs fit a certain demographic?

The number of people in Sweden born abroad has doubled in the last two decades to 2 million, or a fifth of the population.

Sweden 2020 population is estimated at 10,099,265 people

Top 10 Countries with the Highest Number of Foreign-Born Residents (Immigrants) - United Nations 2020:

   United States — 50.6 million.

   Germany — 15.8 million.

   Saudi Arabia — 13.5 million.

   Russia — 11.6 million.

   United Kingdom — 9.4 million.

United Arab Emirates — 8.7 million.

   France — 8.5 million.

   Canada — 8.0 million.

Not sure of the relevance of countries' other than Sweden population, but doing some quick math, the US' immigrant population is about 14%, while Sweden's is about 24%.

Hmmm.

"...blaming the problems on... the failure to integrate many of the 2 million "new Swedes" to arrive in the past two decades."

It's up to the newcomers to adopt to their host society, not for the host society to adopt to the newcomers. I can't think of a single measure or effort the Japanese govt has made to "integrate" me, a Canadian. But I've done plenty on my own accord to make my life here as enjoyable and prosperous as possible.

Sweden's policy during the Syrian Civil War was to offer asylum to every Syrian that reached its borders. I and some other commentators at the time this policy would create some serious problems. Schadenfreude or what.

In the US 22 million are undocumented, according to Yale/MIT study. 21% reaching Swede figures.

22 million? Department of Homeland Security says 11 million, Far from Sweden's numbers,

And also as irrelevant.

As are listing:

Top 10 Countries with the Highest Number of Foreign-Born Residents (Immigrants) - United Nations 2020:

The article is about Sweden, and has nothing remotely relating to Saudi Arabia or the UAE population, or a guess of undocumented immigrants in the US.

The point is gang violence is increasing in Sweden. Ands so is their foreign born population.

I wonder if there is a link.

Usually gangs exist because society failed.
