Republicans won't lift a finger because they care more about the NRA's money than innocent people being slaughtered with firearms.

@Chip Star There are few Americans of any stripe that really care about those innocent people. That said, the gun clinger reaction also has a lot to do with nutty over-reaching ideas on gun control from the gun grabber side.
I am in the middle and here there is sanity. You won't find much sanity on either of the two polarized sides that seem to be far more invested in attacking the other side than trying to arrive at solutions to America's gun problems.

The NRA needs to be ruled as a terrorist organization. It has repeatedly shown nothing but contempt for the safety of Americans, young/old/etc.
