And unfortunately, AP cannot be trusted for real news

Sounds like Club Med China style

Joking about concentration camps where Muslims are put to death is not cool.

Boycott Communist China!

And unfortunately, AP cannot be trusted for real news

Should they tell us what they actually saw and get themselves kicked out of China altogether, thereby never being able to report on anything in China in the future?

It's actually an honest question. Your stance seems pretty one-dimensional, and this is a nuanced issue. So I'm curious about your thoughts on the real-world nuances of this situation. What do you think the AP should do?

Really feel a sense of dread with China recently.

AP looks inside China's largest detention center in Xinjiang

As if the CCP would actually allow an outside journalist to freely look around one of the camps Of course AP only saw what they are allowed to see.

Never in the history of histories have "re-education" mean anything else but forced detention

Every time a government tells ya it's "re-education" camp, don't ever believe it's voluntary - and that includes China

Tragic. I visited Xinjiang in the '80s, and you'll never find a more kind, welcoming people. But even then, I was shadowed: every time I left my accommodations, a Han in a tan suit was waiting for me. I got to know him quite well.

no reporting at all is better than misleading reporting that only shows the picture that the CCP wants shown.

Today's daily dose of anti-China propaganda ......

Something is wrong about that picture!!!! Question if you met 3 guys at a prison with hazmat bunny suits on would you enter the facility with out the same proper protection? Just asking because the last picture shows just that!

No Olympic support for China!!!

I didn't think the article was pro Beijing in any way. If anything it was a chilling account of unjustified mass incarceration on an industrial scale. Please re-read the article.

The AP basically works for the CCP now. That’s how far left the AP has become.

Should they tell us what they actually saw and get themselves kicked out of China altogether, thereby never being able to report on anything in China in the future?

Honest question. The other person I asked it to didn't answer it.

Do people bother reading the article or is that too much to ask.

This is the Peoples Republic of China, the country founded by Chairmen Mao. Why are so many people surprised? We can boycott The Peoples Republic while they change customers. I do not see a solutin that will work.

I'm curious. How would the Chinese population change this within the Chinese legal framework? After all, doesn't the CCP claim to represent the people?

This is cultural brainwashing as Muslims are forced to undergo cultural retraining to become more like Han Chinese and as a condition of release to give loyalty to the CCP.

A tragedy the world seems unable to stop.
