Did he take the 5th amendment 500 times like his brother did?

His father famously said the only mobsters take the 5th.

I don't recall.

I don't remember.

The oldest son of former President Donald Trump has met with the congressional committee investigating the Jan 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, according to two people familiar with the matter.

My, my, my....first Ivanka, then Jared, now Don Jr VOLUNTARILY meeting with the hated Jan 6th Committee who's Deputy chair is....yes, wait for it.....LIZ CHENEY.... So I guess all the Trump supporters here will now call Junior a traitor and a coward, right?

The House committee has also released text messages from Jan 6 in which Trump Jr pleaded with the White House to get his father to forcefully condemn the riot. “We need an Oval address. He has to lead now. It has gone too far and gotten out of hand,” Trump Jr wrote to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.

Clear evidence that Junior doesn't even have authority to contact his father directly....some vote of confidence...

Other allies of the former president have defied subpoenas from the committee and been referred to the Justice Department for potential prosecution on contempt of Congress charges. One of them, Stephen Bannon, was indicted last year after he refused to cooperate. That case is pending.

Good 'ole Bannon, who said Don Jr would "crack like an egg" when questioned...

Las Vegas odds are all on Junior diming his brother Eric out....and any other family member to save his own skin...

Why all this tip-toeing around the elephant in the room? Why just calling in Junior when the man at the center of all the mayhem who can clear up the whole convoluted mess, Senior himself, has never, ever been summoned by Congress or the DOJ to tell his story. Even the media, apparently eager not to break the strange silence of America's political class, have never ever, to my knowledge, even asked the question in newspapers or on TV: why not call him in to give testimony under oath and bring to a swift conclusion this absurd drawn-out dance on egg shells around America's "king with no clothes"? What's with the taboo of deposing the EX-president (aka Individual 1) and now an ordinary citizen with EQUAL rights under the law? Are some more equal than others, after all? The head-scratching feeble response of Biden and the Dems since January 6 to the Republicans' wrecking ball brazenly demolishing American democratic norms in real time will cost them dearly in the Midterms.

Two days after the 2020 election, Don Jr. texted Mark Meadows about how to secure a victory if the electoral vote goes to Biden. He said all routes should be explored, including at the tallying stage or through decertification by Congress. This was before all the states had been called.

When asked about this, Don Jr. claimed he was just “passing on” information he had received. At the least, Don Jr. should be charged with aiding and abetting fraud against the USA.

The very best of what America has to offer!!!

I see…

Let’s hope you feel and hold the same way next year this time around when the GOP have the gavel.

What a pathetic "american" skit..

Let’s hope you feel and hold the same way next year this time around when the GOP have the gavel.

Your comment is irrelevant to what I posted. And your understanding of law and ethics is pretty flimsy.

Don Jr. did wrong. Doesn’t matter which party “has the gavel”.

The two people who confirmed Trump Jr’s interview with the Jan 6 committee were granted anonymity to discuss the private session, which was not announced by the committee.

Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. Both who will be gone and working for CNN by Jan 2023.

I'll give Don Jr credit for trying to stop the insurrection while it was happening. I think we were really lucky that more people didn't die that day.

Another irrelevant response. Trump people seem to think ethics are subjective and that law is simply a matter of who is in charge. Both you and bass seem to delight in the prospect of retaliation—for an investigation into an attack on the capitol and an attempt to obstruct the certification of a verifiably fair and clear election.

Some of the texts are insane, like Sean Hannity asking what to tell his audience and then replying with, Yes, sir!

So you hate freedom of speech as well??

And your understanding of law and ethics is pretty flimsy.

Liberals are the very last people to say that. ROFL!

Don Jr. did wrong. Doesn’t matter which party “has the gavel”.

Again, hope you feel the same way next year this time, we shall see.

Another irrelevant response.

Ohh, don't dodge again!

Trump people seem to think ethics are subjective and that law is simply a matter of who is in charge.

Democrats think that they are the law and ONLY THEIR law matters and they need msm as well as other governmental agencies to enforce those rules since they can almost never get anything through legislation.

Both you and bass seem to delight in the prospect of retaliation—

No, but for myself personally, it is just interesting to watch that the political and law enforcement branches that worked so hard with the help of big Tech and msm that were so giddy when they were crushing conservatives everywhere are now in a huge uproar and panic now that they are about to lose power and we see this time after time again and again. The left feels the country has to see everything threw its skewed warped point of view and if people resist or speak out against it, snuff their calls, block them on social media, and silence any critics of this regime. Now that they are about to lose everything they are terrified that the tactics they used to get conservatives will be used against them and they are probably right, so I personally do think it is interesting.

for an investigation into an attack on the capitol and an attempt to obstruct the certification of a verifiably fair and clear election.

Wish the left was that passionate about the election process back in 2016

Can't wait to see the testimony....

Don Jr: It was all Ivanka, Eric, and Jared's fault....

Ivanka: It was all Don Jr, Eric, and Tiffany's fault...

Jared: It was all Don Jr, Eric, and Bannon's fault....

Eric: How many times do I have to say it, I invoke my 5th Amendment rights...

Trump: Why do I have such stupid kids - it's all their fault....

2 ( +4 / -2 )

So you hate freedom of speech as well??

Utter nonsense.

This is not a game, you know. You haven’t posted any substantive comment about the story itself. And then the thread gets run int the ditch again.

The best is yet to come!

It’s funny when supposedly the self claimed smartest person in the room suddenly doesn’t know anything.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Even when Trump forgot his name...

Yep, he won anyway. despite Trump bungling his name one time.

you were obsessed with that over the last few days.
