Granting the WH the ability to defy congressional subpoenas will degrade the oversight ability of a co-equal branch of government.

But Biden can ignore congressional subpoenas at will.

Who is making this claim? Answer: Nobody.

Got it.

Clearly not.

If trump is innocent, he would not be going to the courts to hide evidence that he says would exonerate him.

There is no such thing as "absolute immunity" for the president. The court should knock that down completely.

While there is a principle of executive privilege, it is a PRIVILEGE, not a right, and is subject to a case by case review of the claim. Trump's stonewalling in support of his coverup is a complete abuse of power, and obstruction of justice and of congress.

Executive.privilege

not only has your side heard of it, you have used it.

Can we sue the Democrats for wasting time and taxpayer money on this disgraceful impeachment over a phone call to the Ukrainian president asking to look into corruption in which the Ukrainian president himself said there was no pressure?

Trump's stonewalling in support of his coverup is a complete abuse of power, and obstruction of justice

Isn't Pelosi obstructing justice by withholding the articles of Impeachment Lite from the Senate where they can try and convict him of his dastardly deeds?

This whole thing is so 2019. Even the tiny momentum you might have had is overcome by the events of 2020 already.

Only thing American respond to is legal psychological coercion, when the fear of going to jail set in, an American will tell everything, obstructing an investigation is a criminal act, not a privilege, when you are subject of the investigation like Trump

If Trump we’re guilty and the Democrats were serious they would turn the articles of impeachment over to the Senate.

There is no such thing as "absolute immunity" for the president. The court should knock that down completely.

Sorry, there is. He has full executive privilege, you don’t like it, take it up with the SC. But Dems won’t do that, wonder why.....

Yaaaawn, yeah, sure...

American who believe criminal activity can be shielded is clinical insane

Donnie clawing at everything to obstruct - just like the impeachment article clearly outlines.

Hey Donnie, if you're so innocent, just let Pence, Pompeo, Perry, Bolton, McGahn, Duffy, and the rest of the crew that Sondland said were "in the loop" come on up to the Senate to testify under oath.

They'll all vindicate you, right? Complete exoneration, right?

Sure they will... Donnie will send them all to Russia before he'd let them spill their guts under oath.

The Senate voting to acquit will do the same, total exoneration. Without wasting any more money or time. Gotta get the focus back on the train wreck that is the 2020 Dems, Iowa is coming.

Hopefully, the criminals involved will also be done for intimidation and advocating violence.

Zero respect for the Trump apologists and their fawning over the liar in chief.

Hardly. He could only be totally exonerated if all the "loop" were testifying - but they aren't, because Donnie refuses to allow them - must be afraid of what they'll all day under oath....Hmmmmm....

Without wasting any more money or time.

Like another trillion dollar tax cut or another Middle East War...

Gotta get the focus back on the train wreck that is the 2020 Dems, Iowa is coming.

So is impeachment...get ready to do the perp walk Donnie...the NYSD Attorney is waiting for Individual-1....

Trump-Pence 2020 all the way, Baby!

All the way to jail baby!

All the way to jail baby!

Har! Dream on, baby!

Har! Dream on, baby!

Is it possible to actually discuss what the article is about, or is that asking too much?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

So is impeachment...get ready to do the perp walk Donnie

Why Donnie? If anyone should do a perp walk, it would be Hillary. In a sane world, she would be in jail for her Libya warcrimes alone.

Err... Biden did. Didn´t they report that on whatever corporate fake media you are watching?
