Denial of reality. The religious war has been on-going since the founding of Israel. The Arab muslim countries in the area (and the muslim countries around the world) never recognized the existance of the Jewish state and never will. The only difference is if it is a shooting war or a war of words and terror support. The idea that Israel can change this with appeasement is an illusion, which has been shown false every time it was tried.
