No. It's too late.

"“Once again you see that guns are causing harm in our communities,” Dickens said""

Yes & No and the debate shall continue.

Man is the most dangerous animal in Georgia, not the wild boars or bears or venomous snakes or alligators. I've encountered all of these, except a wild boar. Have to say, the alligators were the scariest, probably with the most mass, by far.

“Your city is safe because of these individuals,” Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said, outside of the hospital on Saturday evening.

He was talking about the 3 cops that handled the call.

Whenever there's a police involved shooting, the GBI gets involved.

I've never been to that neighborhood, but generally would avoid that part of town. Google streetview makes it look like a working class neighborhood from the 1920s that could use some "gentrification". Some of the homes and yards are well maintained. Some are not.

If I lived in that part of town, I'd have a firearm, probably a shotgun, for home protection. It would be in a locked safe unless it was used for bird hunting ... or a break-in was happening.

armed man in a commercial area

There it is - as usual, a cowardly man could not leave his house without a gun, why did this weakling carry a gun with him?

Hats off to security personnel that put their lives on the line every day. to try to protect those who just want to be able to go about their lives, from the weakest sorts that cannot go outside without a weapon.Thugs and weaklings need to carry weapons.

Without knowing any of the actual details, I am guessing this guy may have been a combat veteran suffering from PTSD and these guys knew it, otherwise three armed policemen in Atlanta are likely not going to bother trying to “Deescalate” a situation and just put you out of your misery.

Thankfully these police were armed, and thankfully they are alive.
