The Soviet Union shouldnt be broken up, those conflicts after the demise of USSR: Chenchenya war, Ukraine war and the Armenian-Azerbaizian war were not necessary when the strength of keeping power equlibrium exists! Erdogan has no right to say anything, he should apology to the Armenians of atrocities in 1915!

Ethnic and religious differences which had been suppressed under communism resurfaced with devastating consequences after the fall of the Soviet Union, when its former satellite states gained statehood.
Nagorno-Karabakh has traditionally been inhabited by Christian Armenians and Muslim Turks. In Soviet times, it became an autonomous region within the republic of Azerbaijan, with a majority population of ethnic Armenians, who fought for their independence in the 1990s. They see Russia as their traditional ally.
The conflict in the Caucasus Mountains has remained unresolved for more than three decades, with periodic clashes.
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has pledged support for Azerbaijan, whose defense minister said with emphatic military aid from Turkey, his forces are taking back lost territories.
In the absence of foreign journalists, it’s hard to gauge the situation on the ground, as both sides claim military victory while also fighting an information war.
Any upsurge could unsettle markets as the South Caucasus is a corridor for pipelines carrying oil and natural gas from the Caspian Sea to world markets.
