Not sure about the sensitivity of virus tests carried out in Aussie, but top virologists in the US are now claiming that many many positive tests are not true as the amount of the virus found is so small that it has no effect on the person and can’t be passed on.

if Australia is the same, these lockdowns and draconian civil rights abuses have been devastating waste of time and money.

This is a major overreach by the Victorian government, and another example of the police-state style of authoritarianism creeping through the Andrews government. I wonder what would have happened if the woman's husband wasn't recording the arrest.

Oddly a few months back when infection numbers were rising, Andrews and the police did not exercise the same level of enthusiasm against a protest when it was BLM holding it. The protest went ahead and the cops arrested nobody.

But in this case, they crack down. What else should we expect from a premier who has signed up to the CCP's Belt & Road Initiative and is fighting to keep the details of deals secret? Signs up with authoritarian despots and uses their tactics to stifle dissent against his excessive lockdown laws. if anyone should be arrested, it should be Andrews for treason.

I hope he gets booted out and straight into prison, but I'm not overly confident. A sizeable proportion of Victorians seem to be loving their captivity, for their own safety of course, if polls are to be believed. And with a Liberal Party basically missing in action, Labor might get in again. I can't vote in Australia anymore, so can't vote against the ALP. But I'm glad in in Japan and not in Andrews' fledging police state.

If she believed in what she posted continually on the social media, how come she did NOT set an example for people in her country by LEAVING her home and mingling up with her friends??? I would have had sympathy for her if somehow she had stupidly and genuinely believed that lock-down was not necessary and the virus was a hoax. However, it appears that she was staying home herself and was able to make arrangements in relation to her hospital appointment/s- so she was aware that despite the lockdown people were allowed to go out when it was necessary and in this sense she was aware that lockdown did not entirely imprisoned people to their homes. Under such circumstances it is then a HYPOCRISY and indeed a CRIME to tell people the virus was a hoax and they should defy the preventative measures.

(This lady in all likelihood was making considerable amount of money on social media platforms by misinforming people and inciting insurrection.)

Yes. arresting a pregnant woman, especially in front of her children, is too much. She should have been given a verbal warning and ordered to delete some of her posts- especially those calling the virus a hoax. That's damaging fake news.
