Humanitarian ground corridor from the western border is now controlled by Russian forces, this is a humanitarian disaster. NATO (Germany) assessments continued to be debunked, one after another. Biden must show leadership, listen to his own generals, ignore Germany and put in place humanitarian air bridge/s. Ukrainian are trapped in many cities and will starve or die from inclement weather.

Remember, if Germany had its way, there would be no Bosnia today. Listen to Ukraine, listen to US generals. Humanitarian air bridge, now.

Humanitarian actions? Do the various aid agencies think that if more aid were to be brought in to Ukraine that the Russian forces would take most of it for themselves. That would be terrible, but still better than Russian troops smashing into homes and stores and stealing from them. The term 'vandal' of course came originally from the Germanic tribes that are said to have sacked Rome. Now when people see an area that has been trashed, windows broken out and filled with graffiti will they say it's been "Russian-ed'.

Sounds so nice until some C-130s are shot down and / or the supplies end up in Russian hands.

Nobody is talking about the massive amount of scam sites popping up in recent days trying to take advantage of donors.

C17s with support from F35s, four US generals interviewed this morning said US has capability, and need to do so, and not to hide behind a NATO red line that has been leveraged by Putin to conduct his war crimes.

Nope. The C-130 production line is still open while the old C-17 line is shut down and the building no longer belongs to Boeing. If a C-17 is lost it cannot be replaced. C-130 losses can be. There is no need for the range and payload capability of the C-17 to run supplies into Ukraine and you can do rough field landings or low altitude parachute extractions easier in the old Herc. In any event flying NATO aircraft into Ukraine is basically begging the Russians to attack. It is exactly demands like yours, what the military calls "mission creep", that lead to escalating wars. Do that with Russia and you start to risk all out nuclear war.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Nope.

Yes, it's what four US generals said was needed. C-17s was quoted. It's not my demand, I'm merely relaying the bold message from qualified US generals, google it, it was a CSIS interviews with 4 SACEURs. They said it's what needed.

Ukraine airspace is sovereign airspace, it's within its rights to ask for humanitarian help. National level.

UN main charter is protection of civilian. International level.

No plausible excuse not to.

I think this has been debunked, there are NATO countries now that are saying the only way to secure Europe is to respond to Putin.

I don't know why people keep regurgitating this nuclear redline and escalation bs. It is already a world war. 40,000 Syrian already on the way, Chechen battalions killed within the first 3 days, Belarusian battalions abandoned cause and turned back after encountering fierce Ukrainian resistance.

It's only the free world that has let Ukrainian civilian suffer by themselves.

Russia has risked a nuclear war by starting a war. Putin is the only one risking a nuclear war.

Don’t think humanitarian relief will come from Italy. Airport workers refuse to load planes because the aid is missiles, guns and ammunition. Port workers are also protesting about fake aid.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

C17s with support from F35s,

russian S-500 and S-550 can shoot down F35s.

With an estimated lifetime cost of $1.6 trillion, the F-35 Lightning II…

so imagine four shoot down…

In other words, start WW3 on behalf of the Zelenski regime. Do you seriously want that? Does any "US general" as you claim? Afaic, the push to escalate to a world war comes only from politicians and ideologues.

This whole situation is Putin lashing out at his own people. It has nothing to do with Ukraine. I think more and more Russians are having less faith in him. Putin wants to be seen as a tough guy to his people. He has been leader for a long time. He will not give up power until he dies. The longer his reign lasts, the more critical the people are becoming. He might be losing power with more people willing to protest and more opposition leaders coming out of the woodworks. He can only arrest so many people until he becomes a laughing stock and less respected in the country. The people are expecting change for the better, but they are getting more of the same.

For Putin, more of the same means he maintains his grip on power; and at the moment, he is pretty much safe. As long as he satisfies his inner circle — the folks that are directly supporting him — he doesn't have much to fear. Ukraine is suppose to be his show of strength to his people.

However, if more Russian soldiers keep dying for war that no one wanted. He'll have an Afghanistan on his hands. If the oligarchs and the other supporters are squeezed hard enough then there might be a coup.

I think China would step in right before that happens. They are not buddy-buddy with Russia, but it would be bad optics for the CCP if the quasi-communist country fell again. They are not pro-Russia but anti-US. They do not want the US to win at any cost. Remember, Russia, China and NK would prefer trump was president. That right there should tell us all that we need to know.

I am not Russian, but I must say Arnold talking about information being "kept from Russians" while reciting the current Western media dialog that completely blanks out any background information about the situation (such as the Baker agreement, Nato expansion, the Maidan coup, Dombass situation, the Minsk agreement the Azov battalion and more) is quite ironic.

I am sure if you listen to Russian media only you get a one-sided narrative. But the same applies if one (like Arnold) takes the current Western narrative at face value.

If the info is blanked out, where you are you getting it? Which super secret media organization is telling you the truth being hidden from us?

Also, you people are silly with your claims of hypocrisy for Arnold not addressing every topic in the entire planet equally all at once.

It is obvious that Putin invaded the soverign country and he has violated many laws. but looking at the nature of his persnality and his way of polictics, he'll never stop the further inhumane activities! He is a kind of gangster so it is only police that can contain its violence.

Therefore, it is only world might that can stop him.

Actually, it is only the US that can do so or produce a ceacifire.

Nothing I mentioned is a secret. I am actually old enough to remember the Baker agreement with Gorbachev, which seemed a matter of course for me at the time. But where in the current news do you see anything about the the items that I mentioned? For someone who knows nothing about the Ukraine, the current media representation is that Putin suddenly attacked the Ukraine out of nowhere, without any background. And sadly that seems to include Arnold.

This has nothing to do with a "persnality". Many experts have said for a long time that expanding Nato into the Ukrain would be a red line that no Russian leader, no matter who it is, could accept. Are you unaware of that?

Arnold is telling the Russian people that they are uninformed while demonstrating how clearly uninformed he himself is. Is that not a textbook example of hypocrisy?

Nothing I mentioned is a secret.

Except you said it was being kept from the public. So how did you know about it?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

It's not clear at all how he's "uniformed".

Is it?

That's Russia's problem. It doesn't justify them starting a war, and now they are paying for their failures as a people.

Remember, Putin started this war. There is zero justification of that. Russian people are dead because of him. More will die. They all deserve it for following him. The Russian people need to take him out, before they end up quarantined from humanity for generations, like Chernobyl in its sarcophagus.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

They all deserve it for following him.

I'm gonna disagree with this bit. Firstly, as I understand, soldier have to follow commands. Otherwise militaries break down (not that I wouldn't like to see that in this case), and loyalty is drilled into you. But also, apparently many of the soldiers were duped into believing they were just doing exercizes before the invasion, which is apparently partly why morale is so poor.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

soldier have to follow commands.

Legally, but not morally. Soldiers don't get a moral pass for murder. War is not possible without soldiers, so every soldier contributes to war.

Every Russian solider bears moral culpability, and every general has the dead Russian soldier's blood on their hands. All because they're too weak to stand up to tiny Putin.

Fair point.

Yeah, that's fair too. But I'd put more responsibility on the generals than the soldiers.

From the Russian POV it is not a war, it is regime change. (And now tell us the US has never dabbled with that concept..... even in the Ukraine itself, are you unaware of the US involvement in the various color revolutions??)

And villifying an entire people for what their government does (agree with it or not) is really low. I do not think we have gone that low since WW2.
