Johnson is a disaster, at least as bad a Theresa May. Empty promise after empty promise. The government and the media keep blaming others, but I don't think the public are fooled.

Brexit is extremely complicated and difficult, but it is still being handled ineptly.

Still, an election appears inevitable well before the next scheduled one in 2022 if Britain is to move on from the stasis caused by a prime minister who vowed to deliver Brexit "do or die" and a Parliament that has repeatedly thwarted him.

Johnson has done a horrible job and has further divided the country and parliament.

This might become one of the rare times where the Queen steps in and removes a Prime Minister.

What I am trying to emphasise is the damage, the prolonging of an election is having on my staff and business. When I refer to East Europeans, I am stating not only EU nationals, but also Russians etc etc.

My Business in the UK relies on a significant number of East European software developers.

My problem, their problem, is the UK leaving the EU has been so bent out of shape, they feel the only necessary course of action has been to apply for UK citizenship. The company supported there applications, I did not agree with this course of action. However it was there decision

Well, instead of blaming Johnson, one should blame the Labour party. Labour is against an election for they would likely get hammered, so they keep voting against it. Which is odd, for Labour leader Corbyn opposed Britain's membership of the EEC, opposed the ratification of the Maastricht Treaty and he also opposed the Lisbon Treaty, so one would expect at least him to be really eager to make Brexit a reality asap. But they are hiding behind the pretext of a “good Brexit deal”, acceptable to everybody, so as drag things out and avoid any election.

After Bexit, even a no-deal Brexit, Britain will not “self-destroy”. What a nonsense. I always wonder what was wrong with the EEC? The EEC had as aim the economic integration of member states, not political integration and dragging corrupt pauper states into the EU, which is what people are opposed to. One can whine all one wants about Brexiteers, but back home in The Netherlands, the majority of the people also voted twice against further EU integration in a referendum. I could say “vast majority”, which it was at two thirds voting against, but in an election, they count the votes and just 1 person can make the difference. Only nitwits can’t get their heads around this. The French also voted against further EU mingling with their lives, but in both cases the will of the people was ignored. Further south they probably voted in favour, for the money flow has always been north to south.

At this point the people of the UK should be coming to grips with the fact that democracy isn’t a real tangible thing anymore.
