Let's not forget that some of the most despicable terrorists, like the Unabomber and Timothy McVeigh, weren't even from any of the countries listed. That doesn't even mention some of the most recent and deadliest shooting sprees in public places, which were committed by American citizens.

while refugees are subject to extensive screening — including in-person interviews, checks with law enforcement databases and collection of biometric data — the process is not perfect. What is extensive screening? Which government verify those people wanted to come to US, Daish has couple of passport printing machines and they can produce genuine passport with fake names. Just because they have valid looking passport that does not mean they are properly vetted. Who do you ask for reference, his neighbors and relatives? Some of so called neighborhood no longer exists, how about asking school teachers or Inman is like asking jailed inmate to verify man is innocent of all crimes …

The system has been broken for years, it's not perfect, granted, but it's a start at trying to strengthen our overly laxed immigration laws. The international immigration laws are all over the place and once that's better organized, the Trump administration and HS can put more focus domestically. It's probably going to be a mess for awhile.

interesting how the list doesn't include the muslim countries that Trump has business dealings with....

No should be discriminated because of their religious beliefs the only thing that Trump is doing is promoting hate and fear.

I'm not buying that lame argument for a minute. All the Kurds, Christian and Yazidi minorities that were slaughtered in Iraq and Syria and Libya they did nothing and yet, millions were raped, beaten, beheaded, shot, way before Trump came on the scene, this all started to really blow up in 2010 and at that time, Trump wasn't on the radar and the president at the time didn't lift a finger to help these people as much as he could have.

Its disgusting that this is happening.Trump and his supporters should be banned from leaving the US.You want to stop killings in America start with gun reform.

I'm just so happy liberals are out of the front seat, the only thing they have is verbal rhetoric and condemnation with zero solutions. Typical.

We should also ban Americans from the United States since the US is the largest supporter of state sponsered terrorism, has a large amount of domestic terrorists and it is becoming a theocracy that actively tries to do away with the human and civil rights of its own citizens

Wonder if Trump is considering re-writing the constitution while he is at it.

One thing you can be assured of, if he decided to, his supporters would defend him vehemently for doing so.

Ah, the "list".

If you read what Trump signed, the only country named is Syria. Go ahead, read it for yourself.

The other 6 countries were designated as a security risk by the Obama administration over a year ago, and Trump has simply extended and slightly expanded existing barriers pending review of procedure.

In other words, what Trump has done is completely in line with existing policy. Nothing really new here, except the fake outrage. No one gave a damn when Obama cut visas to the Iranians.

Technically you are correct, in that the only country specifically named in the executive order is Syria. However, the order also says:

I hereby proclaim that the immigrant and nonimmigrant entry into the United States of aliens from countries referred to in section 217(a)(12) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1187(a)(12), would be detrimental to the interests of the United States

And that section does specifically refer to the countries in question. So while you are technically correct, it's not like the other countries aren't specifically referred to, as they are.

oh my....Makes you wonder who started all the unrest in these Countries in the first place mmm...

So let's make another excuse again.....ok....

Solutions well you got to look at the cause first don't you some don't like what they see in the mirror.Liberal lol no just human that thinks about humanity.

Go on, I'm listening, make a valid argument, how so?

No, he's following it just fine.

If reports are correct, it is completely different. All passport holders from the listed countries are being denied entry. Apparently this also includes those who have transit visas, and those who also hold passports for other countries.

France was one of the first countries to try and strangle and ban the beliefs of certain people, and what has come of it besides a spate of very deadly attacks? This is going to CAUSE terrorist attacks, not stop them.

Ahh, so what you're saying is, we should capitulate to the jihadists and stop the ban, otherwise they could possibly bomb us, attack us. Well, Smith, you just reinforced my argument why we need to push forward with this. Because someone doesn't like our policy and we have the absolute constitutional right to block anyone? This is why these idiots in Europe engage in terrorist acts again and again, Europeans want to make excuses for the jihadists and these people go on a rampage again and again and instead of getting as strict as they should try to avoid any political pushback. Trump basically doesn't care about that.

And the more you let in now, the bigger this "homegrown" threat grows in the future. How hard is that to figure out? Belgium and a host of other European countries are examples of that. It's not like Japan or South Korea have to deal with this problem.
