Hello, doctors and nurses of America. Japan needs you.

"Vaccine acceptance is on a spectrum," he said, and when people who are lukewarm to the idea of getting a shot encounter obstacles, they're less likely to push ahead.

This is part of what is expected, fortunately people that invest their own sense of self-esteem on conspiracy theories will never accept logic or reason, be it with vaccines or any other thing, are a tiny minority; while people that feel unnecessary anxiety and are simply hesitant are much more numerous but still can be reached with proper information and making things easier for them.

The real problem in America is the politicization of science, this is what can make people to not vaccinate because science itself is seen as the enemy. As long as this problem is not solved it will be very difficult to vaccinate a significant part of the people that remain irrationally against immunizations, masks, or anything else that is hold as beneficial by science.

What are they going to do with the 40% of the population who refuse to be vaccinated?

And what are they going to do with the 10% to 45% of the vaccinated people who are in fact still like all other unvaccinated, because the vaccines did not work by that percentage? Yes, you bet it, they will get full eased restrictions and spread the viruses or get infected at mass gatherings, while the unvaccinated are stigmatized and still have to abide to restrictions.

why get vaccinated if you still have to wear a mask outdoors anyway?

horrible government messaging at the highest levels.

Things are not always linear.

And what are they going to do with the 10% to 45% of the vaccinated people who are in fact still like all other unvaccinated, because the vaccines did not work by that percentage?

Any source for this? or is it that you are confused between vaccines having not full effect on a percentage of people and vaccines not having any effect on a percentage of people?

Another slanted article targeting “Trump supporters.”

I can tell you MANY Blacks are leery of the vaccine, for good historical reasons. Others, regardless of political affiliation, are wary of a rushed vaccine.

Biden and the CDC need a simple and clear message: get vaccinated, get rid of the masks. This will get the maximum amount of people vaccinated as quickly as possible.

Confusing, inconsistent messaging has not helped.

Japan's handling of this is truly shameful. Japan was never a particularly attractive place to come if you are a professional with a good job, but now I feel this will really hurt the prospects of attractive top talent. I know I would not make this decision again.

So you think you would have been safer in USA, with their massive amount of casualties, anti-maskers, and anti-vaxxers? Good luck.

No. I had the choice between Australia and Japan for my job. I made the wrong choice, very clearly.

OK, my bad. You mentioned California so I jumped to a conclusion.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

No problem. I mentioned CA as I was checking out if it's worth flying back for a vaccine. Seems yes.

If you are careful I guess. I'm from USA too and some of my friends and relatives there started getting infected just recently. False sense of security, I guess. Anyway pointless for me to go back until my kids can get vaccinated.

The 29% of Republicans who are anti-vaccine don't seem to be aware that Trump and his entire family were quietly vaccinated back in January as soon as they had the chance.

Is all nice and all, but people are clearly blinded by this so called positive news. You all know that US still has around 6million active covid cases right? And the average daily infection rate is still in the 30k-40k. I am only convince that their efforts are paying off once those infection numbers drop to double digits.

What are they going to do with the 40% of the population who refuse to be vaccinated?

basically nothing, plus side is there are million of vaccines that can now be shipped to other countries that want to take it, also plus is that those that refuse to take it wont likely be allowed to travel to countries that require vaccinations, keeping the pandemic alive and well in their little corners of America

The CDC said it’s not necessary to wear masks outside when already vaccinated. Is this “the science” you speak of?

Why do you refuse to understand the science?

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Find a way to distribute vaccine through our water supply or through bottled water. It would save billions and speed up the administering process.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

why get vaccinated if you still have to wear a mask outdoors anyway?

literally 40% of their population are not protected, do you not care at all?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

There is no contradictory message from the scientists. Masks not needed outside when vaccinated. Very clear.

so why vaccinated people still wearing masks outside and not listening to the scientists?
