Chinese tourists coming to Japan and buying up all the cold medicine and self test kits. Take them back to China and sell them at 20x markup. Pay for their trip. Can’t blame the side hustle, only if they could wear masks in public and in stores would be nice, wouldn’t it?

I can see next the China foreign affairs dept will ask Japanese restaurants to stay open during New Years, so that Chinese can eat at their fancy restaurants so they can post to TikTok.

imagine waiting 3 years to eat some yakiniku and the restaurant is closed for a week, and you have to live on 7-11 yakitori microwave style and chu-hi.

not all that bad, I guess.

I guess China figures it better to let them go abroad and crowd Hospital and get free medical treatment

Italy said 50% of the travelers that arrived in Italy were covid positive and were put in quarantine. The people know they are infected and just don’t care. This is what happened before and they didn’t know but traveling and knowing a country is letting their people travel abroad is crazy

The last spread of Covid-9 in 2020 is now, over World.

So, get ready for the coming of Covid-10, World!

Covid-10 is better than Covid-9.

Just wait to see, World.

It will be much better.

The testing is pointless. Covid strains beat every border block throughout the pandemic as the tests are not accurate enough. All countries now have endemic Covid. It's like banning people from pouring tap water into the ocean unless it is tested for purity first. Countries that impose restrictions will just erode even more of their ropey, knackered economies.

It might slow the spread of the next china variant, though, to give time to react to it.

Here we go again....

Asian countries are bracing for an influx of Chinese tourists as COVID restrictions are dismantled, and while some are wary, operators in others are preparing packages such as hotpot buffets to cash in on the expected spike in travel.

Excellent.

Bring it on with the money.

50% of Chinese tested positive for Covid entering Milano?!

I would voluntarily stay at home if my fellow citizens were infected in numbers like that. Why on earth are they going abroad?!

212 arrived in Milan with 50% tested positive. Scary to think that millions from China will travel overseas in January. First they don't trust western medication which obviously their own don't work. Then they stop giving figures to WHO, with hundreds of thousands infected daily, not mentioning the death figures. Now they open up for themselves to travel and will start spreading worldwide again. Those who are not infected will come and clean up all the medications on the shelves and push prices up again. Good luck.

Australia please make them test before arriving. We don’t want to go into lockdown ever again.

Here we go again! Brace yourself! Probably another lockdown. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Don't repeat Chinese New Year's 2020. We've had enough of this.

Amen to that, just as we get back to normal, now the scum that started all of this are let loose again.

Japan and the USA are one step ahead of the CCP here…for a change.

Sadly other counties can’t see the play and we’ll all suffer from new strains. Good job world…

PCR testing and mandatory quarantine for anyone arriving direct or indirect from China. Don't repeat Chinese New Year's 2020. We've had enough of this.

US and Japan require testing. I think this article was written last week.

A replay of late 2020/early 2021 where the fine folks from CCCP spread the virus everywhere.

France taking to social media platform Sina Weibo to emphasize it welcomed Chinese friends "with open arms

So should Japan. I wouldn't go as far as hugging them on arrival but yeah sure why not . Make few JPY.. this is fine.

I have just seen a report that 50% of Chinese travellers to Italy at the moment are carrying the virus. Incredibly dangerous.

It is right to be cautious as Japan is being. ALL travellers from China should be tested on arrival and placed in quarantine hotels at their expense for at least one week if infected.

Otherwise Chinese will export another variant, as well as placing a huge strain on the health systems in all the places they visit.

50% of arrivals in Milan from China yesterday were positive for covid.

Sigh, they'll be what causes pre departure pcr tests to be reintroduced.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

All travellers from China should have to provide a mandatory pcr test result..

Bring them back, party and pretend it's like it's 2019 all over again! Except 2019 ain't coming back.
