While the number of infections in China has been falling for weeks, other countries are seeing the toll gather pace as the highly contagious virus takes hold.

Zero in four days in Wuhan. I don’t believe that do you? No way.

Hard to believe China, agreed. But it's in their best interests to be forthcoming now. I don't see why they'd lie, though of course there could be cases they don't know about. I'd believe it more than I believe people here claiming it's no problem and schools and what not should go back to normal. At least they are mass testing in China, and enforcing quarantines.

Don't be blinded by hatred, It is absolutely no sense to lie on this right now.

How is telling the truth hatred? No one should be intimidated from identifying statistically improbable claims.

Furthermore, people take actions all the time that make no sense to someone else.

There is one issue: is the claim accurate or is it not?
