Humans will survive, just fine.

We are entering a time of less solar activity which will lead to the planet becoming cooler-no need to buy an EV yet!

How many tons of GHGs were put into the air by the people attending the conference?

I think that it's hypocritical that (supposed) climate activists are attending.

And don't start with offsets to air travel. The GHGs still got spewed out.

“Climate change will never stop without our intervention," ……so for the first time in the earths 4.5 billion year history, humans will stop climate change…..I have a bridge to sell you.

This is nothing but kleptocrats trying to preserve their wealth and status at the average person's expense. When it's all over, they'll jump back on their jets to home and try to implement policies that enrich themselves and their cronies with funding by taxpayers.

People like Gore and Guterres hold us in utter contempt at best, so it's time to stop complying.

The climate change, that is becoming the here and now is the ever closer possibility precariousness of the collapse of the world order both economically, and the threat of a global nuclear exchange.

Land war in Europe, deteriorating diplomatic ties between top emitters the United States and China, rampant inflation, and tight energy supplies threaten to distract countries further away from combating climate change, Guterres said, threatening to derail the transition to clean energy.

I suggest this is a cruel charade, cop out 27.

Basically it boils down to whether different countries people and politicians will be able to set aside differences and unite together to restore the health of the planet, or continue the accusations, sanctions, and passive-aggressive provocations.

Global warming is as natural as waking up every morning to read Japan Today.

As only 70 something year old people rule the world, and are rich, know they will die soon, why do the have to care about the future of the world?

Climate change is a genuine threat to humanity.

The most worrying danger, is not the danger of C02, global warning, in the here and now.

The threat of war that could lead to a global exchange of tactical/strategic weapons of mass destruction is the most worrying threat.

He's talking about human driven climate change. Driven by humans, mostly ones far richer than anyone who reads Japan Today.

On average each billionaire’s investment emissions produced 3m tonnes of CO2 a year; a million times more than the average emissions of 2.76 tonnes of CO2 for those living in the bottom 90% of earners

Action on climate change threatens billionaires and their supporters, not ordinary people. I'm near the top of that 90% of bottom earners, but I identify with the people around and below me, not Jeff Bezos.

Attendees jetting into Egypt for the COP27 climate conference will be able to dine out on $100 mushroom sauce covered beef medallions - for US$125 sip on fancy bottomless cocktails - while facing calls to cut down on meat consumption to save the planet. Cheap Charlies can bag the  $50 one-hour unlimited drinks package - including beer and red and white wines. The menu is published elsewhere....

Looks like another booze and food fest for the global elite, preaching to the masses, but doing exactly the opposite themselves.

Roll on COP258!

Talk about focusing on the wrong topic. Why are you so easily diverted from the impending climate disaster to change the discussion to some completely irrelevant details? Why would you do that?

The truth may be impaletable, but we have to focus on solutions.

I've been studying climate change for years, and I've come to the conclusion that there's nothing to worry about. The climate changes, yes, but there is no reason to suppose that we are the decisive factor in it.

Incorrect. Look at the recent annual global average temperature changes to see if your hypothesis is correct.

Global warming is as natural as waking up every morning to read Japan Today.

Yes, it's naturally caused by us humans and will end in catastrophe unless we take measures to mitigate it.

Incorrect. Fact: The increase in CO2 is causing the warming and human activity is the direct cause of the increase in CO2 in the atmosphere.

Standing shoulder to shoulder, world leaders and diplomats through their sublime thoughts, energetic words, and appropriate actions, are showing the right intent. Wishing the U.N. Secretary General Senhor Antonio Guterres and his associates, strength and stamina in the herculean mission ahead.
