-1 ceasefires for Trump.

Israel are blocking the Arab proposal for rebuilding Gaza here, they don't want a safe, revitalised Palestine, and they most certainly want UN troops there and are fearful of the idea that there could be a real prospect of a 2 State solution. They don't want peace.

This is not a country that has ever acted with the best interests of the Palestinians at heart, AND, they have proved themselves to be a murderous, genocidal overlord in the past 18 or so months.

The Arabs have proposed a fair and sensible solution, and the UN needs to adopt it and implement it - independent of Israel and the US, who are blocking it. If the UN is a real and effective organisation of any description and merit, take control, do what is right.

This is about fairness and doing what is right for a people who cannot escape the shackles of their overlords.

Tama...I think you meant to say "Israel DOES NOT want UN troops"

Israel banned media.

Too many eyes looking at the destruction not good for Israel as victim narrative.

I am wondering, a little fearfully, what this "Netzarim Corridor " which splits Gaza in two, portends,

Trumps French Riviera in progress.

Both Israel and Hamas can and will go to HELL for causing the death of so many children, there is a special place in HELL for children killers.

Hamas is a murderous terrorist organization, which is bringing right now a disaster upon the other nation as well as upon its own nation.

Protesters accuse Netanyahu of continuing the war for political reasons and endangering the lives of remaining hostages.

Of he is. The protesters are not stupid.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

Mick, yes, thanks for picking that up. They most certainly do not.

Hamas launched 3 missiles towards Tel Aviv.

The reoccupation of the Netzarim corridor is in accordance with the 'General's plan'. The plan put proposed by Giora Eiland in Oct of last year.

The plan is to cut Gaza in half, cut off all aid to the north to starve the population out then declare it a free fire combat zone to allow the killing of any people remaining there.

It's a blatant war crime.

News outlets now confirms that the IDF viciously attacked Gaza refugees camps at dawn on March 18th with a total of 300 fighter jets all at once and without a warning killing over 400 Palestinians and injuring hundred others.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Enough blood has already been spilled. They should have waited and tried to get more hostages out, especially the living ones, before doing this.

"Hamas " is more than the Al Qasim brigades and other groups of militants fighting.

Hamas employs all those in the health sector as well, for example.

Is this why Israel kills all the Doctors ?

Maybe we need to differentiate between Hamas militants and Hamas civil society employees.

Hm. Do you know what Nietzsche said about fighting monsters? Likud and the IDF clearly don't.

more than 700 Gazans killed since Tuesday.

Hamas, which had not retaliated during the first 48 hours of the renewed Israeli assault, said its fighters fired rockets into Israel.

Typical JT. Article with heavy messaging on "Israel bad," then state that Hamas had not attacked for the first 48 hours after the "renewed" Israel assault, and yet worded in such a way to make it seem like Hamas was the victim, and then sprinkle a little morsel of truth at the end that Hamas...had fired rockets into Israel.

Seems pretty straightforward who broke the ceasefire first.

Israel genocide continues, with the backing of Trump

Israel is a rogue state. The West supports it uncritically. Genocide complicity.

It's easy to prove that the claims that all that needs to happen to stop the killing is to release those taken prisoner during the Gaza Uprising. For instance, take a look back to this time 2 years ago, more than half a year before October 7th.

So far in 2023, IOF attacks killed 83 Palestinians, including 41 civilians; 14 of them were children and one woman, and the rest were members of the Palestinian armed groups, including 2 children, as well as 6 killed by settlers, and one died in Israeli prisons. Meanwhile, 349 Palestinians, including 47 children, 2 women and 9 journalists, were injured.

Since the beginning of the year, settlers have conducted at least 149 attacks against Palestinian civilians and their property. As a result, 5 Palestinians were killed, and dozens of others were injured; most of them after being beaten and thrown with stones. Also, dozens of houses, vehicles and civilian facilities were set ablaze.

Sourced from the weekly report from the internationally respected Palestinian Centre for Human Rights Gaza.

So why do our media reports pretend that the context and body counts started October 7th?

ASK THEM.

I am not supporting Israelis actions that lead to the killing of so many innocents but if my brother and sisters knowingly hid behind and put my children in harms way. They would become my enemy and I would do anything to get rid of them…..I.e. Hamas

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

If Israelis have the right to defend themselves, do the Palestinians have the same right, in fact, the right to resist the Israeli occupation of their land? International law says yes, but the money & power of the US government and their capitalist bagmen say NO! If Hamas is a "terrorist" organization, then what is the IDF? And if not Hamas, what is the name of the Palestinian armed resistance? These are just a few of the awkward questions the western media refuse to enlighten us on, yet one doesn't need a Harvard law degree to understand how the contemptible schadenfreude of power trumps morality and justice.

The two nations could have lived together side by side already since the 1940s. It is not right when one nation claims exclusive ownership of the land, and acts to cleanse the land from the other nation from the river to the sea.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

At this point with the vision of Gaza's future being unaffordable housing and hotel casinos, It would behove those investors to support the destruction of the neighborhoods thus saving the expense of commercial demolition. Israel's goal has been taking over the shoreline for just such purpose... and NEVER any other. They only needed the right players and visionaries from the West.

Which one? Because it pretty much looks like that's what the Israelis are doing.

Genocidal monsters..

The Israeli forces under the direction of Netanyahu will not stop until the entirety of Gaza is nothing but rubble! They want to leave the Palestinian people with nothing and be done with them! Netanyahu will then let the rest of the world figure out what to do with the refugees he has created. And where is the supposed beacon of freedom, liberty and democracy, the United States? 100% Supporting Netanyahu and supplying him with the means to carry out the atrocities and total destruction.

As an American I believe in the right of the Israeli people to live in peace and prosper, HOWEVER I also believe that they will never be at peace on the path Netanyahu has led them down. Netanyahu's plan was to displace all the Palestinians in Gaza, plain and simple! Does anyone really believe that his plan was to ever eliminate Hamas as there will inevitably be a v2.0 and more brutal. He has only strengthened the hatred of the Palestinian people towards Israel and other around the world and his actions will inevitably lead to generations of young men and women who will seek retribution on the state of Israel and America and far into the future.

How many Israelis killed that you want gone?

NOMINATION

more than 700 Gazans killed since Tuesday.

How many Israelis killed that you want gone?

No Israelis have been killed since Tuesday. 700-0.

The killing of civilians, men, women, and children, is not acceptable. Whether Palestinians or Israelis. My support for the Palestinian people does not mean I support the Hmas. Which I do not. Netanyahu is hanging onto power and needed further right-wing cabinet support which included some bombing of Gaza.

How many dead Gazans do you want?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Which one? Because it pretty much looks like that's what the Israelis are doing.

Unfortunately, these are the Palestinian Arabs, led by their extremist leaderships ever since the 1940s, who have been rejecting every proposition for coexistence and for solving the conflict. This includes the UN resolutions 181 and 242, and other opportunities.

Really? Are they pounding Israeli cities into rubble with overwhelming firepower every day?

Really? Are they pounding Israeli cities into rubble with overwhelming firepower every day?

Simon, Hamas has developed other sophosticated methods to disintegrate and exterminate the other nation. Among other things, they shell the entire area of Israel with rockets.

The important and fundamental question is: Which nation agrees to coexist with the other nation, and which nation does not agree to coexist with the other nation?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

You can watch Noam Chomsky smash all the nonsense about 'destroying Israel' and the rest of the lines you see Scofflaw regime supporters repeat in their comments (see his UN speech for one such example).

NB...which PM has a stated policy of "no Palestinian state while I'm PM ?"

Hint , name rhymes with "Kangaroo "

Do you support coexistence? Do you support an equitable solution of the conflict? Do you condemn genocide? Do you know what the Nazis did? Do you know who endorsed the resolutions 181 and 242 and who rejected these resolutions?
