Unfortunately Biden and the US have to defend US democracy from extremists within the country aided by some foreign states and their ongoing attacks on democratic principles the US republic was built on.

DNC?

Nope. But Marjorie Taylor Greene keeps saying there needs to be a national divorce and keeps saying absent any verifiable data that her constituents overwhelmingly agree.

Biden exhorts world leaders for 1 minute out of a 25 minute speech

I get the feeling you wouldn’t have been happier if he spoke on Russia for longer.

Biden exhorts world leaders for 1 minute out of a 25 minute speech at U.N. to stand up to Russia; warns not to let Ukraine 'be carved up'.

Oh look! Mr. Biden makes a succinct point in a simple straightforward sentence and even that isn't good enough for the detractors.

Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house - comes to mind here.

20 years defeated the US. The Soviet Union ended.

But not in the minds of the USA leadership.

Even when it looked like the west could have actually gotten along with Russia after the end of the Soviet Union.

The USA needed a Boogeyman and pushed the narative of bad Russia Russia still the Soviet Union.

It pushed NATO right to it's borders knowing full well this would end any attempts at friendly relations.

The cold war mentality never ended in the USA and it's leaders.

And what has that gotten us?

This new proxy war, and the one thing all previous administrations and experts say was the number one thing to avoid, a rapprochement and partnership between Russia and China something we now clearly have.

The failure of USA and Europe policies towards Russia has sent China and Russia into eachother's arms.

The facts are Russia is out producing artillery shells at 7 times that of the western countries combined (New York Times, business Insider, etc..all pointed this out last week) Russia is also out producing the west in Missiles, tanks, etc...

The propaganda machine trying to spin the purchase from North Korea as running out of shells is just that propaganda.

Proper news and think tanks have all pointed out it is just faster and cheaper so why not, North Korea has surplus ammunition and Russia surplus oil all ready to go.

Spot On!

This guy has no credibility whatsoever on the world stage to anyone who can think critically. Biden is so corrupt with mountains of obvious evidence against him and others and they still claim “there is no evidence” LOL!!! All these elites and media companies are in bed with globalization, flooding countries with illegal immigrants, pushing socialist ideas, breaking down societies, indoctrinating the youngsters that they are victims, etc., so they can usher in their great reset. Slowly and in increments so people won’t push back. It’s happening and whether you choose to believe or not, it’s real. Why do they attack anyone who starts to get a large following and try to cancel anyone who shed light on truths? You get rewarded for lying and attacked for telling truths. Crazy time we live in.

Riiiight.

Officials said John Kerry, the U.S. climate envoy, will attend in Biden’s place.

John is no Joe dude

And yet, that is exactly Kerry's job. Exactly what he was hired to do.

“Thank goodness Trump's coup attempt failed”

To bad the FBI has admitted they where involved and now they claim they don’t know how many so called informants they had in the crowd that day. The truth always come out in the end! J6 the great Fed-insurrection

No they didn't. Over 1000 people have been arrested, with 277 locked up, and you think it's an FBI false flag? That's some level of copium.

The country the world needs to stand up to is the U.S.

The ethnic Russian Separatists in Ukraine were not about "carving up" Ukraine. They just wanted independence and/or annexation with Russia.  But the U.S. government and oligarchy decided to oppose their freedom and make NATO membership overtures for the sake of making money off a proxy war, so now we have Russia carving up Ukraine.

Make no mistake. Biden is well happy Russia is carving up Ukraine. His military industry buddies are well happy.  They absolutely LOVE this war.

And they lie about it all day long, just like they lied about that missile that hit the market in Donetsk. You think you are going to see a corporate media retraction on that story? NO. Cause the big business interests and the western governments under the U.S. oligarchy want you to keep blaming Russia so they can keep diverting your tax money into their pockets with your ignorant approval!

From 2001 until 2021 during 4 presidents, the US spent more than $1 trillion on its Afghan war and failed. Hundreds of thousands of lost lives. What for?

And now this President after the disastrous withdrawal wants us to further support more money for a war the majority of Americans see as a growing conflict, and to that not calling out China, capitulating to the Mullahs in Iran, I don’t think this guy should be anywhere near anything that involves critical thinking and that could get more of our troops killed.

@bass: DNC?

Whatabouttery is an old Soviet argument tactic intended to deflect from their own problems.

-1 ( +14 / -15 )

From 2001 until 2021 during 4 presidents, the US spent more than $1 trillion on its Afghan war and failed.

Incorrect. They succeeded brilliantly. Are any of those presidents poor? PoorER at least? No.

20 years of outrageous military spending with little to no accountability. It was a picnic for war profits! That was the plan and it worked.

The hilarious thing is, so many dupes think Obama was the "peace" president even though he expanded the wars and also the terror drone program.

I really just can't get over how blind and stupid most people are. Of course a lot here are clearly U.S. government sock puppet accounts and likely not even human.

I will say it again...the U.S. government is thoroughly corrupt and utterly rogue. Everything it accuses others of doing the U.S. is ten times as guilty. There are only two ways to be a proud American....by being stupid or by being evil.

We will defend democracy

We are not fighting Russia, or it's people! let us not forget that.

Despite his own emphasis on climate as a priority, Biden does not plan to attend a special summit on climate that U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres will host on Wednesday,

Riiiight.

Officials said John Kerry, the U.S. climate envoy, will attend in Biden’s place.

AntiqueSaving: The facts behind the rhetoric are interesting.

The "support" from the west is not what people think or the media tries to make it look like.

Oh, thank goodness you have the real scoop! Could you remind us again to the size of the US nuclear sub fleet? You know, because you’re so well informed…

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

La vie douce

*"Nope. This unrest quickly escalated into a second civil war, which saw the large-scale collapse of the united Afghan mujahidin and the victorious emergence of the Taliban."*

The very same Taliban formed by the former "freedom fighters" as I have said all along. Thank you.

No, the taliban emerged after the collapse of the mujahidin. And hence the CIA didn't fund them.

This is becoming tedious.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

just like they lied about that missile that hit the market in Donetsk. You think you are going to see a corporate media retraction on that story? NO.

You mean this one ? The one that was reported. Tchh, your imagination.

Tell it to Iraq, Libya, Hawaii, etc.

The US doesn't occupy Iraq or Libya and there is no argument that Hawaii is US territory. Some nice whataboutism, though.

-3 ( +15 / -18 )

The facts behind the rhetoric are interesting.

The "support" from the west is not what people think or the media tries to make it look like.

Example France, Italy and Spain have sent just under $1 billion in military aid, in comparison Denmark has sent $4 billion.

It is not going to be long before the people of these countries decide enough is enough and support drops or ends.

Ukraine has managed to retake 0.08% of its territory since the offensive began nearly 4 months ago!

Biden can say whatever he wants but the facts and reality are not even close to what he is saying.

-3 ( +12 / -15 )

“No they weren't. They were the Mujahidin”

Someone clearly doesn’t know their history! Who funded the Mujahideen? Who funded Osama Bin Landin?

CIA

There is a good movie with Tom Hanks and it’s based on a true story.

-3 ( +9 / -12 )

“One of your own MAGA heroes....”

You can post all the fake news you want. The inquiry will happen and I personally think before Joe is impeached the Dems will remove him by the 25th amendment. It won’t be the Republicans who remove Biden.

For the Marxist dems they will be able to claim the first Black woman as president of the United States.

I thought leftist like you where all about helping the homeless and people in need. But your probably a typical wealthy white liberal who loves living in your own little bubble and those homeless people shouldn’t bother you or live near your own home.

Bidens administration is by far the most corrupt in U.S History

-3 ( +9 / -12 )

So they emerged after the Soviets pulled out? So that proves the CIA didn't fund them. Thanks.

Nice double speak!

So they changed their name from the different factions the USA was supporting and you think all the money and weapons they got were just returned to the USA/CIA!

-3 ( +7 / -10 )

He is right. At no point did Putin make any kind of reasonable demand, so we must assume the goal is still everything.

-4 ( +22 / -26 )

“No they didn't.”

Hahaha! Someone isn’t watching the hearings! oh wait your a leftist of course you won’t accept the truth eve when it’s thrown in your face!

No more funding this conflict!

-4 ( +9 / -13 )

“No they weren't. They were the Mujahidin”

Yes, the CIA funded the Mujahidin. Not the Taliban.

Who funded Osama Bin Landin?

CIA

No. The CIA didn't fund Al Qaeda.

Biden exhorts world leaders at U.N. to stand up to Russia; warns not to let Ukraine 'be carved up'

FIXED

Biden exhorts world leaders for 1 minute out of a 25 minute speech at U.N. to stand up to Russia; warns not to let Ukraine 'be carved up'.

-5 ( +11 / -16 )

"I ask you this: If we abandon the core principles of the United States to appease an aggressor, can any member state in this body feel confident that they are protected?” Biden said in his address. “If we allow Ukraine to be carved up, is the independence of any nation secure?

He continued: “I'd respectfully suggest the answer is no.”

Totally agree.

Now is not the time for appeasement, now is the time for support. If Russia isn't stopped, it will continue to illegally invade countries of the old Soviet Republic.

Good to see Biden show leadership in this area.

-6 ( +19 / -25 )

I am sure India and China don't care what Biden said and many more are starting to get tired of it all.

Even the western media is now realizing that they cannot trust Biden administration or Zelensky as The New York Times reports that again Ukraine lied and The Sept. 6 missile strike on Kostiantynivka was from Ukraine not Russia.

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/18/world/europe/ukraine-missile-kostiantynivka-market.html

Then we have Mykhailo Podolyak top aid to Zelensky saying

India and China have low intellectual potential

I am sure these types of comments are going to make India and China decide to like Ukraine.

What people seem to miss is that most people understand without a problem that Putin and Russia are not nice highly corrupt and cannot be trusted.

The problem is Ukraine is no different! Any decent country would have been in an uproar over such comments but Ukraine instead doesn't even bat an eyelash because it is just as bad in most cases as Russia.

How do we know Putin and Zelensky are lying? Basically when either opens their mouths.

-6 ( +9 / -15 )

Legrande - so you are ok with carving up countries? Good to know. Which country do you hail from that you wouldn’t defend it against an invader?

-7 ( +12 / -19 )

Whatabouttery is an old Soviet argument tactic intended to deflect from their own problems

Not sure what all that meant, but I’m just keeping it real.

Nope. But Marjorie Taylor Greene keeps saying there needs to be a national divorce and keeps saying absent any verifiable data that her constituents overwhelmingly agree.

You think so?

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

Anyone who is ok with Russia carving up Ukraine should have no moral objection to Russia, China, or the US carving up their own country.
