Isn't the Victoria governor a great fan of the CCP, with support for the Belt and Road program and ties to the Anti-Taiwan "Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China"? Who's trying to sustain them? Australia is ending this one. That's the thing, when you do it right, there is no need to sustain a lockdown. Now Melbourne goes back to living a normal life, going to bars, watching live music, enjoying concerts etc, while the rest of us are still in it. And Australia's economy is booming.

So it's not clear what exactly you're angry about here.
