2,242 hospitalizations, including 175 patients in intensive care.

This is the important part as covid patients are rapidly filling the ICU capacity. When that happens where do the traffic accident and heart attacks go?

The 21 deaths reported in New South Wales on Wednesday topped the previous record of 18 set on Monday.

Are they FROM Covid or WITH Covid? And what about the age and comorbidity situation of the dead? Without that information, the number is meaningless.

Typical Australian solution - revenue raising through fines. Horrible country.

New South Wales has approx. 1,000 ICU beds and more than 12,000 general beds in hospital. So Covid is occupying a shade under 20% of both of them. Hardly shutting down the system there.

That widespread no-ZeroCovid strategy, now also implemented in Australia that was on the right path, is in fact a no-ZeroDeath strategy. Or also call it an intentional killing policy if you like.

@Zaphod: This, your post is the typical anti-vaxxer response. With/From/Vaxxed?

Mate - Accept this is happening. ICU beds are being taken up again. Whichever strain it is..does it matter? Whatever these peoples ages/weight is, STOP denying Covid is harmless and quoting % of deaths. It hasn't gone anyway, and the longer you campaign for people NOT to get vaccinated, the more ICU beds will get filled. More operations will get cancelled, more cancers will go undiscovered until its too late. More NON Covid deaths will occur.

It's fine you don't want the vaccine. I get it. But can you please STOP the denial.

i can stop talking once the false "pandemic of the vaccinated" narrative stops.

Vaccinated people and unvaccinated people are exactly the same as far as getting COVID, transmitting COVID and as a threat to "society"

Just vaccinated people have more personal benefits in that if they catch it they wont get as sick as an unvaccinated person may get. So save the sanctimonious "Im doing it for everyone else" story.

Vaccinated people are just taking the vaccine because they thought it will help them not get COVID and not get sick if they do. its not some great sacrifice for the world that allows you to look down upon (and take their jobs and rights of movement) those who dont take it.

@Blacklabel - Not getting AS sick should be a benefit for exactly the reasons I stated above. What's wrong with you? I respect your choice NOT to be vaccinated but your views on 'freedoms' and your covid denial are very very poor.

Sounds like you got this info from an unauthorised source

what did I say that is incorrect?

Not getting AS sick should be a benefit for exactly the reasons I stated above.

If I dont catch COVID, I dont have to worry about how sick I get from the COVID that I dont have.

If I do get sick, I dont have the comorbidities that 75% of the 0.03% death rates have.

Compared to the unknown effects of 2 vaccines and 2 boosters 5 years from now.

If the virus prevented me from catching COVID as first advertised, I would take it.

But it doesnt and I see sooooo many vaccinated and boosted people getting, sometimes twice now.

That, @Blacklabel is a LOT of 'IF's' - but let me guess, if you end up in ICU you'll still wish you'd never had it.
