Least we forget.

Anzac day is more than just remembering the own war dead, it is remembering all the people that didn't return from all pointless wars and battles.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

And also those that returned in a terrible state. As someone once sang, "the legless, the armless, the blind, the insane, those proud wounded heroes of Suvla".

I went to the local dawn service and it was a very good turnout. Thankfully, no rain this year.

Lest we forget.

The Pogues, for one.

I was thinking of Eric Bogle, who wrote the song.
