When it comes to climate-related chatter, it's always 'do as I say, not as I do.'

Apparently Calgary's new mayor is keen on driving up unemployment in the region, declaring war on the industry that contributes enormously to the local economy.

Harnessing the wind created at all these useless meetings would actually go a long way to solving the climate crisis as well. A fully renewable resource, since these grifters never actually shut up.

"Basically Australia is a massive dessert where the sun shines almost every day. Plenty of wind too. You'd think they would be world leader in renewables."
South Australia State actually is.

This so-called think tank doesn't do too much thinking:
Exhibit A.

I think the worst polluters are all the 'crats and hangers-on who attend conferences like this. How much carbon is used and fossil fuel is burned to take them all to Scotland. Gee, if only there were a technology available that would allow them to see/talk to each other without actually being face to face... not to mention all the Co2 and hot air their bloviating and speechifying will produce.
As to Oz and Canada being the worst, I call them the best. They are creating wealth and jobs for their respective peoples, and producing the energy that the world economy needs in order to recover. Do the conference attendees fly there on solar powered aircraft?
Renewable energy is great, but there is one huge hurdle- storage. Fossil fuels can be stored until the moment they are needed. Wind and solar? Not so much. Give it time and this will be solved, but in the meantime roll on pipelines.

I don’t really care about Australia nor China. They both ain’t doing much to help the environment!!
TrevorPeace
Nah. Just keep selling the coal to China and let them suck the pollution into their lungs. Who really cares???
Steve
They certainly don’t do much for climate change and are said to be one of the worst in the area of sun damage. Intense sun and frail skin.
let’s hope the can get their fossil fuels under control someday??

It’s cheap for the Australians to pull power from the ground and have large numbers of people paid to do so-economics 101.

Hah. It's one of the biggest seller and exporter of coal. That already says a lot

Burning coal?
