"I think most Australians would agree that using facial recognition to track down terrorists is a good idea," he said. People might say using it for tracking down murderers is a good idea, but what about people who haven't paid their parking fine?" Hanson said.

Fine too. What's wrong with that?

Tracking it down for any law violators his the by me don't matter their colour, stripe or crime.

Japan has had a system for years that can identify someone with 95+% accuracy by their walking takes 3 steps or a 4 second video. No facial Id needed.

Watched a demo on TV 10 ladies same height, build, etc it picked out one with faces hidden. 98% accuracy.

They've been doing for years anyway I would guess. They always wrap it up and sell it nicely don' they (we will use it to track terrorists only), and then quietly expand it to cover everything. How many people die by terrorism in Australia each year? 1? 2?

Open the door a crack then sooner or later it gets pushed open wider and wider. Slipery slope from which there is no return. With every loss of freedoms and every intrusion into privacy the terrorists win a little more.

The developer of the new System originally tested it using a picture of Donald Trump but has since forgotten where it was filed away. Also rumored, is that the system will be hooked up to the new immigration kill-on-sight system, which has been designed to improve efficiency in dealing with Terrorists.

... just kidding.
