and the circus continues....

Liar, liar, pants on fire. Only question is how much this deal cost the Australian tax payer.

I will say this much, that useless PM of ours better not have done a deal to get this drug smuggler back. I do not care if they send the people smugglers back, as they are costing us money. Strip them of all there possessions as part payment for their costs and pack them all onto one of their boats tow them out of our waters and send them on their way. But to bring this woman back no way, let her rot in prison where she belongs.

Urgh this bogan should've been locked away for far longer. Indonesian authorities probably got sick of her whining and decided to send her back to her beloved trash-media fanclub in Australia.

caffeinebuzz,

lol they probably got sick of the whining from her overbearing mother and annoying sister. She will probably go back to Australia and be on the dole or receive some form of government handout. As l said earlier let her rot where she is.

hehe, doesn't her family have a history of drug-related busts or something? It's been a while but from what I'd heard in media reports, they're a bit of a dodgy bunch. Whatever you think about marijuana, you just don't take it to places that threaten to kill you for it....

The sooner or later she will be relised.

Huh? Do you mean released by any chance?

Personally speaking if someone is dumb enough to try to smuggle drugs in any country in SE Asia that has laws like Indonesian they deserve to rot in prison no matter the country that they hail from.

Oh she is scheduled for release, even after the reduction in sentence in 2024. She tried smuggling 4.2 KILO's of cannabis. Bit too much for "personal" use I would say.

I'd never heard of her but found she has a Wikipedia article. Agreed, the family seems quite dodgy - but dodgy enough to effectively throw away a life for? - that I think not. We're talking about marijuana here, not heroin or cocaine. In a sensible world, she would have paid a penalty for not declaring an import, paid a tax and gone on with her life.

She looks like she's tweeked out on something in that pic.

Anytime governments deny something they are lying.

"you free our drug-dealer, and we'll give you back your kidnappers."

"deal."

sad, if true.

I've never understood the unbelievably harsh penalties for drugs in SE Asia.
