What no comments . Well here is the news .After election day Labor will walk in with the Assistance of the Progressives a new non aligned political party that will contest this election . Bothe groups will push to have all high end tax avoiders made to pay tax on every dollar earned through their companies in Australia . No business can be allowed to bludge on the average working Australians Hard earned taxes industry gets support by subsidies paid from the working Australians tax pool The prime minister Malcom Turnbull is the richest ever prime minister in Australia's history but is unable to collect taxes from multiple billionaires and Millionaires like himself so its time for Labor and its supporters to Put the Liberals last and change this government for the Wealthy to one that listens and supports all Australians not a selected few elate political donors Australia needs to care for the young middle aged senior and retired persons The ill and to better educate all for the future of Australia's success we Don't need Submarines as they are obsolete and the money wasted could be better spent on ridding the world of poverty.

I like your sentiments, but I have no idea of the actual mood of the electorate.

The prime minister Malcom Turnbull is the richest ever prime minister in Australia's history

Having read the story of his childhood, and the success he has made for himself since; I can begrudge him nothing (and I can't say that of many of the super-wealthy).

**

I don't know that there is a significant difference in either of the options available to Aussies...

@Ron Barnes

You touched on some interesting points. We really could do without another Labour government, as Rudd adopted a $90bn surplus and Gillard left us with a $50bn deficit. By far & away the worst decade in Australia's political history. Pink Batts, Education Revolution, Carbon Tax... just failure upon failure. I also don't have confidence in Shorten with his close union ties - the bane of the Labour Party's existence.

That said, I feel the current Turnbull government has largely been asleep at the wheel in terms of policy. Most of the policies that have been proposed were adopted from Abbott, and he has done very little to address the massive problem of welfare expenditure, which is a staggering 35% of total government spending. Just too many people with overarching self-entitlement issues.

It's very exciting time to vote unelected one out of office that doesn't belong to him.

As of today labor and the coalition are neck and neck however Turnbull is well ahead for preferred PM. And its been like this for ages, no idea why labor stuck with Shorten, pretty obvious to me he isnt PM material.

I have never really understood why we have so many mediocre politicians in oz, I mean on both sides.

Goldprak. I agreed with you. If Labor Party has replaced Shorten with someone else and then Labor will win comfortable. Even Malcolm Turnbull's supporters are realized and accepted Turnbull does have quality of Prime Minister and lack of vision and policies. Wealthy and Commercial banker doesn't mean he understand how to government nation and manage multi-billions nations' economy. You like Tony Abbott or not but Tony Abbott was very good Prime Minister. Malcolm Turnbull and his wife Lucy only wanted Prime Minister office for to honor themselves as former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and first Lady Lucy Turnbull but nothing else. We have lost good and honest Prime Minister because of egoist and selfish personality of Malcolm Turnbull.
