What's priceless is seeing Australia send forces to defend a government being taken over by the CCP.

Switching recognition from Taiwan to CCP is not limited to the Solomon Islands. Australia and the US also recognize the government run by the CCP. I guess the CCP is running the governments of all nations that recognize it over Taiwan.

Australia has said it will not protect parliament buildings. If a regime change kicks out the current government then that is their business. Australia has sent police to help stop killings and destruction of property etc.

Australia has zero love for the CCP and if it looks like they are involved I am certain Australia will oppose it.

But perhaps some posters know more about this than I.

Our Federal police officers are leaving families to provide assistance as are a few soldiers and a navy patrol ship. We were asked for help and did not hesitate to provide it. Good neighbors are priceless.

What's priceless is seeing Australia send forces to defend a government being taken over by the CCP. The Aussies are being made into patsies of the Chinese protecting the fools in Honiara. They need to be shown the door and if the Aussies had an ounce of sense they would facilitate the Solomon Island's current, cough cough, "leadership" rapid departure to exile somewhere.

I’m not going to bow down to anyone. We are intact, the government’s intact and we’re going to defend democracy,”

The government isn't defending democracy. They are defending the corruption of democracy by Chinese communist money. They very much should be run out and replaced.

Solomon Islands leader blames foreign powers for unrest

Hmm, now who could they be referring to? Begins with U, ends with A, has S in the middle?

Morrison questioned whether Chinese citizens and businesses were being targeted.

I bet he doesn't question those dubious claims of genocide in Xinjiang. I feel kinda sorry for this guy - given a state dinner by the fat guy in Washington, but the present potus can't even remember his name (that fellow down under).

Yes, the usual pattern of the very smallest ones, those you even don’t find easily when you’re a geography ace. It’s just only another call for global attentiveness, like bombs in Middle East or missiles from Pyongyang, here some mob, riots, looting etc. They will just quickly calm down when given some bananas or a helicopter load of wheat powder, whatever.

What ? the same Aussie army and police that are tormenting the Australian citzens are going to help in the Solomon Islands.

You will be pleased to know there is no tormenting going on in Australia, and has not been.

Your welcome.
