loud chorus of boos from the crowd of 7,500 when she mentioned hopes the vaccine rollout would help end the disruption of professional sports caused by the pandemic.

These are anti-vaxxers, but reasonable people who think the vaccine rollout should have nothing to do with professional sports. Professional sports should be last consideration.

I would have jeered also.

These are NOT anti-vaxxers,

@Zoroto Which is it? And if they are NOT anti-vaxxers, as you claim, where is your proof? Again, you post carries no weight if you don't back it up with references.

They ARE anti-vaxxers. 100% anti-vaxxers. Here is a link, showing that they are in fact anti-vaxxers.

There's nothing in your link to back up this statement, just a tweet from someone who thought those booing were full of BS. Below is a link that specifically says that only a small section of the crowd was booing the mention of vaccines, and that they were soon drowned out by enthusiastic applause. The boos were much louder when the speaker mentioned the Victorian Government, which was of course responsible for decreeing a lockdown in the middle of the tournament, which kept the punters from watching the tennis in person for five whole days. How they must have suffered.

And my link is from the Daily Mail, so you can't call it left-wing biased reporting.

Dan Andrews has enforced one of the most draconian authoritarian, heavy handed gestapo like policy to deal with a handful of virus cases.

Journalists have been arrested and assaulted, homes broken into and criminal like behavior has been the result.

Hrdlicka’s comments are way off base!

It is not her place to lecture Australians...

They aren’t anti-vaxxers because the Trump shot isn’t a vaccine. Also, I doubt that 80% of Australians are willing to get the poison jab. It’s just most are too scared to say so because of the threat of persecution.

From start to finish, this comment has been brought to you straight from the Murdoch media.

Persecution, hilarious. Once again, there's no coercion. You don't want the jab, don't get it. Are you in Australia, by the way? If you are, you must let us know where you get your information.

You clearly don't know anything about Australians, their willingness to come together for the sake of each other, and their national pride. It's why they were able to have successful lockdowns in Melbourne, because the people were willing to sacrifice personally, for the betterment of all.

@ George Townes

Sorry, George, I think I misread your comment. I see you're on the rational side of this argument and not the vaccine denier one. Once again, my apologies.

Being Pro Choice does not make someone an Anti-Vaxxer.

That is a ridiculous statement and makes those saying it look like they don’t have any real argument other hurling childish insults around.
