-And in a few months when they're all vaccinated

No chance. The government torpedoed their own vaccine drive by banning AZ.

If you want a perfect vaccine with no side effects, you need to spend years testing it or design the virus yourself to match your own vaccine.

6th lockdown incoming...

Absurd! Freedom belongs to everyone, not just Americans and more people in free nations are worried (and rightfully so about BIG government overreach) as they should be.

I’m gonna need you to show your work on that one.

At this point, as long as there are anti vaxxers, lockdowns will continue to be necessary. Personally, I think that if someone comes to a hospital with Covid and they say they chose not to get vaxxed, they should be put on a gurney and rolled into a back room so their immune systems can fend for themselves. That’s what they wanted, right? No meds, no IVs, no ventilators. Save those for people who understand medical science. Do that and Darwinism will raise the country’s collective IQ by a few dozen points

You're confusing freedom (as in acknowledging you have responsibilities to your society as well as having rights) with freedumb (as in I do whatever I want and I don't give a damn about my neighbour or the rest of the world).

You're right and I agree with you except for the part where big government sticks it’s nose into my business and tries to dictate what IT thinks is good for society, that’s where I vehemently disagree with you. Responsibility to my neighbor, Yes, to big government, No!

That's what this poster means by saying the protesters want to be Americans, far too many of whom fall into the latter category.

Well, not sorry for loving freedom and individual rights, got me dead to rights.

Americans have really weird ideas of freedom. They actually think they know what they're talking about.

The five-day lockdown across Victoria ends at 11:59 p.m.

It was originally to be a five day lockdown but was extended for a week. So the "twelve" day lockdown ends tonight.

Admins take note.

Just wait a week or month for another dozen cases to appear and another unnecessary lockdown

In the meantime, they get to live life mostly normal. And in a few months when they're all vaccinated, life will continue to be normal. All while their economy does well, and their people don't die.

Just a bunch of cranks who want to be Americans.

This decision wouldn’t have anything to do with the massive anti-lockdown demo days ago in Melbourne, now would it?

What rubbish! Grow up. Melbourne has used these measures very successfully in the past and continues to. And those ‘freedom’ demos were hardly massive. Just a bunch of cranks who want to be Americans.

Good for them, until the next outbreak.

No more authoritarian lockdowns in Oz.
