"I have to say I am flabbergasted that a doctor that has flu-like symptoms has presented himself to work," she said, adding the clinic has been closed until further notice.

I'm not, know a doctor here who had the flu but continued to treat patients while he was taking tamiflu as well.

Arrogant SOB he was!

His only symptom was a runny nose. I don't think a witch hunt is needed here. If he'd also had a fever and/or coughing, then it it would be a different matter.

Rather, this reinforces the insidious nature of this virus in which seemingly healthy people are unwittingly infecting others.

passengers on the flight will be contacted as soon as the manifest is available.

you'd think that would be a priority. Plenty of time to spread the infection

I suspect far more people in JP are infected than we really know. China is no different! It seems like we will have to get tested every 6 months like STIs.

Physician, heal thyself!

i thought that if you had a dry cough it was a symptom of COVID19. But a runny nose was a symptom of the cold

@cracaphat

I get where you are coming from. If you check my posts you'll see I'm one of the more vocal people around here saying we need to take this thing seriously. But at the same time we can't lock ourselves away every time we get a little sniffle. A runny nose can be caused by any number of things, including dry air inside a plane cabin. Considering he was traveling from a low risk area, probability was on the side of it being something else. Unfortunately in this case it didn't work out that way.

A dry cough is also a symptom of any flu, smokers cough, and tuberculosis. Flu symptoms are pretty much universal. It appears that medical personal need to see the results of a test in order to determine which flu their patient is suffering from. The public should assume the worst, and hope for the best. And stop touching each other.
