I suspect far more people in JP are infected than we really know. China is no different! It seems like we will have to get tested every 6 months like STIs.

I get where you are coming from. If you check my posts you'll see I'm one of the more vocal people around here saying we need to take this thing seriously. But at the same time we can't lock ourselves away every time we get a little sniffle. A runny nose can be caused by any number of things, including dry air inside a plane cabin. Considering he was traveling from a low risk area, probability was on the side of it being something else. Unfortunately in this case it didn't work out that way.

A dry cough is also a symptom of any flu, smokers cough, and tuberculosis. Flu symptoms are pretty much universal. It appears that medical personal need to see the results of a test in order to determine which flu their patient is suffering from. The public should assume the worst, and hope for the best. And stop touching each other.
