Murdoch. He's 90 years old. What are they going to do? Flay the corpse?

So you are watching Russian State television, or is that something CNN told you?

Millions of people are clearly ignorant.

Actually, and considering the leadership nowadays worldwide you might be right.

There should be a limit to how much media a single person or company can own.

Maybe, now apply that to the social media platforms as well and the limit of power they can wield on individuals

When was the last time a Murdoch-owned paper (other than the Wall Street Journal- which has a great news side) or broadcast network won an award for journalism excellence? I’m guessing (again other than WSJ) never.

That grub Murdoch does more harm to civilised society than any govt could do. His news services, and I say that very loosely, only prey on the weak of mind and the racist rednecks.

Murdoch media, Sinclair media, evangelical funded outlets and neo-lib mouthpieces should all be taxed and investigated like the propaganda outlets they are. But the regulatory agencies are bought and paid for too.

Good. Murdoch is corrosive on civil society.

Millions of people worldwide don’t think so, if they did he would be sliding like CNN

Interesting that Australia is dominated by conservative media

That would be because Australia is dominated by conservative people.

Certainly I think its fair to say that on social and cultural issues, Australia is further to the right than the Democratic Party, but on economics, most would be closer to the Democrats.

When it comes to people like Cortez and her ilk, she would be placed in the same basket as many of the Greens in Australia. Never going to get more than 10% of the vote and concentrated very much in the inner city of Melbourne and Sydney.

The dude has made mass media a tool for his own twisted version of events. Thank goodness his time is nearing an end, the amount of crap news stories he has pushed has done nothing to make the world a better place. . There is a small chance that we might get just news reporting without a bias. A small chance. He should be in jail or a mental hospital for like Charles Masson enabling the weak minded. Scum.

Happy Day

Interesting that Australia is dominated by conservative media.

I am not following AUS media closely, but that claim would seriously surprise me.

Many Americans view U.S. media as simply an extension of the Democratic party.

That is just stating the obvious. They function as the propaganda arm of the uniparty (neocon and neolib establishment).

Fox News clips are regularly featured on Russian State television programs.

So you are watching Russian State television, or is that something CNN told you?

And in the event, what does it matter to you what Russisan State TV puts on?

but his divisive programming is useful for the GRU to attack western democracy

Western democracy does a good enough job to attack itself, especialyl in Australia with its dictatorial Corona response.

Fox News clips are regularly featured on Russian State television programs. Murdoch may not be a Russian agent, but his divisive programming is useful for the GRU to attack western democracy. Vaccinations (Fox preaches are bad for you), guns (Fox preaches are good for you), race (Fox preaches White grievance)… the list goes on and on. Murdoch is there to stoke the fires just as though he were working hand in hand with Russian military intelligence agencies. And it is not hyperbole to say that Fox News clips are regularly featured on Russian State television.

Interesting that Australia is dominated by conservative media.

Many Americans view U.S. media as simply an extension of the Democratic party.

Wouldn't it be nice if at least some media sources simply reported the news, which would lead to a more informed public?
