Not surprised one bit, and while Al Jazeera may not be the most balanced new source, gotta give them credit for publishing this story!

Al Jazeera are a state owned propaganda arm of the Qatari government that supports Islamic extremist groups and are not a legitimate media organization," the statement said.

so the truth is based in their minds being a legitimate news outlet? On their scale of legitimate? Filming, recording are to be discounted as they don't recognise the source?

Nice try, I can watch and listen to what was said.

For a party that exposers a principal this shows those principles are bendable at best.

Give us money, we give more guns to society hardly a win win situation.

A Qatari news organization under the thumb of theocrats, One Nation rightists and US gun headbangers. Quite the cocktail.

Check the details of this one very carefully.

An international cabal of gun-nut white supremacists!? Good times (i.e. end of times)

Blaming a quite independent news agency when the story is about rednecks getting assault weapons...Jesus. 50 people just died. That doesn’t include the 30000 shootings every year in USA.

"Reports that senior One Nation officials courted foreign political donations from the US gun lobby to influence our elections & undermine our gun laws that keep us safe are deeply concerning," Morrison tweeted.

A racist party in bed with a death cult. Quelle surprise.

Well done to AJ for this, and I'll bet the begrudgers have never actually watched the network.

Al Jazeera (Qatar) English version is generally fine, and full of interesting angles on things, but I like to devote equal time to their rival Al Arabiya (Saudi) in order to get some opposing views too.

I am confident and quite happy just to focus on their story here.

I’ve seen it.

I don’t trust any network. I trust a network under the thumb of a very ugly government even less.

I’m not saying they are wrong here, and I have zero time for One Nation types or gun nutters. I’d just like to see the evidence in question before trusting the mouthpieces of autocrats.

Not difficult. Not racist. Not bigoted. Not phobic.

Just being sensible.

A lot of people are getting a bit carried away with this, the Federal Government dictates what comes into the country while the states dictate what guns a person can own - there are already millions of gun owners in Australia politicians both left and right know that - the New South Wales election has just proven that this money wasnt needed the Shooters party picked up three seats, held a third while One Nation picked up one seat.

One Nation; another White Supremacist party along with the current Liberal Party. If the Liberal Party with the White Supremacist PM, Slogan ScoMo and the Minister for White Supremacy, Deadhead Dutton, get elected again in the next election, Australia will return to the White Australia Policy.  According to the Prime Minister and his Minister for white Supremacy, child asylum seekers are terrorists, paedophiles, rapists and criminals, and so don't deserve medical attention.

An Al Jazeera documentary showed One Nation party officials Steve Dickson and James Ashby flew to the United States for meetings with the National Rifle Association and other pro-gun interests in September last year weeks before the Australian Parliament banned foreign political donations. It is unclear whether they secured any money.

"Al Jazeera are a state owned propaganda arm of the Qatari government that supports Islamic extremist groups and are not a legitimate media organization," the statement said.

Al Jazeera? Seriously? Let me know if any actual news agency has actually verified this story.

There is nothing wrong with this. One Nation is a legitimate political party. Cry about it all you want, but that fact isn't going to change.

Follow the money. Russia funneled $30 million to Trump through the NRA, now the NRA is being asked to fund an Australian nut group. Putin's goal of destabilizing the West is going full steam ahead.

Wow, some of this negativity towards the Al Jazeera news site, sorry 'trashing of' it, drove me to actually sit down and watch the damn documentary.

While this kind of edgy undercover stuff makes me feel really uncomfortable, I guess that it is the only way to get such important news out to people. It is sad when you have to make enemies to advance an agenda.

In this case I feel that AJ's work has raised my estimation of them as a credible news agency. More people should be watching this.
