Happy to hear that Australia and other Great Countries are taking care of the filth that exists in the world. Happy!

Possession of literature shouldn’t be cause for criminal charges.

He wasn't charged with keeping Dr. Seuss books.

"he had collected a large amount of extremist material and he was in possession of several improvised explosive recipes,"

Australia has its own laws. And obviously possession of extremist material combined with improvised explosive recipes is cause for criminal charges.

Anyone with internet access can get recipes for IEDs. Many people here are gleeful simply because they read “Islamic” in the headline. Sad and irrational.

You should read the whole title, instead of making irrational statements:

Islamic State

Which is an Islamic terrorist group, at least in Australia.

People can be charged in Australia with possession of improvised explosive recipes.

They can be charged with crimes for being in possession of literature.

Especially if that literature consists of extremist rhetoric.

That's the law in Australia.

If people want to defend the accused that is their right too.

And it is the right of Australia to convict those charged.

Well done Australia. The Islamic community is doing nothing to prevent morons like this from being radicalized, but luckily the Australian police have been monitoring them and their communities. Keep it up.
