Even if this is just a natural variation, the effects of it is still the same, and to do nothing is stupidity personified. The Australian climate makes it more susceptible to climate changes, so you can think of it as an early warning system. Regardless of your political leanings - please, please, please actually think of the consequences of these changes. The science on that is pretty clear.
