It was a horrible experience for anyone to go through especially not knowing whether it was a real bomb or not. I'm glad she is alright.

It is most likely someone she knows from school..

Well if one proceeds from the assumption that the goal of terrorism is to cause terror then this definitely was a terrorist attack. It also sets a disturbing precedent, after all if it is possible to chain a bomb to your enemy then why sacrifice your own to deliver the bomb? This could have just been a dry run to measure police reponse time and precautions for subsequent real attacks.

Osakadaz: I wouldn't be surprised if the bikie gangs are connected to this.

I don't know, seems to me like those gangs would just go ahead and do the real deal, with real dynamite, grenades and whatnot.

PS: I still love how the Kiwis and Aussies creatively make a word cuter by adding "ie" at the end. Barbie, sammie, bikkie, chippie, bikie......LOL. :D

I highly doubt it.

She was uber rich, mosman is a very expensive area... her school is a super expensive all girls school. Seems like a money extortion.
