Since the details of how this was done are missing from the story, I wonder how the accused did it. Intentionally coughing or sneezing on the victim?

In any case, it sets a dangerous precedent.

And what about those health authorities who shifted COVID patients from hospitals into aged care facilities, infecting thousands and resulting in thousands of deaths? They seem to have gotten off scot-free...

The details in the story are enough, the accused was diagnosed with covid and refused to isolate causing contact with the victim in a stair well, that is enough for grossly negligent homicide.

And what about those health authorities who shifted COVID patients from hospitals into aged care facilities

This the authorities acted against the recommendations of the experts without justification? because if not then it is a very different situation.

Your vaunted "experts got it wrong, directly causing the deaths of people in nursing homes. Another one of your customary appeals to authority shot down in flames.

Just because you say so? how about a reference where the case is described as such, you never responded the question, something that very strongly suggest you are making a huge misrepresentation of what actually happened. Again, did the authorities acted against the recommendations of the experts without any justification? if not then you are just making a false equivalence.
