Nice of her given that it was her testimony that convicted him.
how fortunate it didn’t affect her career or fame.....
He only served 16 years for a crime he didn’t commit.

16 years. For some, that's a lifetime.
It's good of Sebold to apologise to him. But the state needs to atone for its larger role in sending an innocent man to prison for a decade and a half. Broadwater deserves millions of dollars in compensation.

Not really. This is another policing/justice system fiasco. It even says she didn’t identify the man in a police line-up, but the justice system chose to prosecute anyway by essentially coaching her enough to get her to identify him. This isn’t a case of someone making a false accusation: this is a case of the police and the justice system manipulating a traumatized 18 year old so that they could convict somebody. And when that somebody is a black man accused of raping a young white woman, they don’t need much evidence.
