A fire too? The solution surely must be more gasoline.
Bob Fosse
Because the crazy guy had a gun.
Where were all the good guy rod packin’ neighbors? Isn’t that the only way to stop them?
He’s going to have a gun anyway and people will die anyway right? So obviously the solution is more guns in the hands of good guys, right?
Bob Fosse
Why didn’t the neighborhood watch group set up a rota system to make sure one good guy always had his sights trained on this crazy guy?
Maybe get the local shooting club involved, they have all the high powered rifles. Could have taken this guy out in a flash.
You can’t rely on the police, the general public are far more armed and always in the vicinity. It’s just strange that we don’t read about the good guys stepping up. I suspect the MSM are afraid to report the stories because, you know, something...

America sure does have a lot of "crazies" huh?
How long do you think it takes to shoot people? Are the police suppose to teleport immediately to the crime scene?
Bob Fosse
Well, that ends the ‘good guy with a gun’ argument. What’s the hero supposed to do?

I've already explained myself. In numerous posts above I wrote, "Europe and Japan." Rather than constantly type out "Europe and Japan," I thought you'd get the meaning, but I was wrong.
lol How many of them are developed countries? No one compares developed countries like the US to developing countries. I've already explained this. At any rate, is the fact that we have lower crime rates than "at least 14 other countries" a fact you're proud of? Out of nearly 200 countries on earth the United States is ranked 185th, congrats!
takeda.shingen.1991@gmail.com
There we go, an actual answer. And yeah, I'd tend to agree with that. Fewer gangs certainly would lower gun crimes. However gang still exist in Europe and Japan, but they're involved in far, far fewer shootings than in the US. So, I believe this shows gun control works in Europe and Japan.
No. I didn't reword my question. Anyone can clearly scroll up and see I asked first about Europe and Japan. You know, the developed world. When making comparisons from country to country, people generally compare developed countries- not developed and developing countries.

Sort yourselves out, guys. Hasn't the steel phallus had its day?
Bob Fosse
So a neighbor ‘armed guard’ is not a good guy with a gun?
If I’m confused about or ‘ducking’ the good guy with a gun argument, why don’t you spell it out clearly for us?
Citizens are far far more numerous and have far far more guns than the police. But it’s the police’s job? But an armed guard trained on him night and day would have stopped it?
And I’m the confused one? Well, I am now.
takeda.shingen.1991@gmail.com
What a great, original argument. Why do you think gun violence is more common in the US than Europe or Japan, or basically anywhere else on earth?
takeda.shingen.1991@gmail.com
lololol You're comparing the richest, most economically advanced country on earth to Mexico and Venezuela? Why not compare US gun crimes to Afghanistan, hardly a fair comparison to make
Let me clarify: Compare the United States to the developed world, Europe and Japan. They all have lower gun crimes and more gun control. Why is that? Don't give me some ridiculous comparison to poverty stricken, third world countries.
takeda.shingen.1991@gmail.com
Because Japan and Europe have strict gun control laws. That was tough.
Lol I truly don't care about CNN. I rarely watch CNN. I prefer clips on MSNBC or Majority Report.
nandakandamanda
And another one in Times Square today. These irresponsible people give guns a bad name.
SophiaHernandez
I'll ask you exactly the same question about the good guys with guns. you seem to think they should be on hand to stop every crime before it happens. Actually thats the police's job. and here we know that they were told many times about this crazy guy wth a gun terrorizing the neighborhood and they did nothing. Bob Fosse was right. the residents should have had an armed guard on him. this wouldnt have happened.
Thats not the 'good guy with a gun' argument and you know it. keep ducking the issue though, Bob.
Blacklabel
you tell me, you asked the question not me.
CNN wont care about this, as the shooter most likely isnt white.
Blacklabel
CNN director tells you all you need to know.
See you actually can learn something from CNN after all.
Blacklabel
So Mexico and Venezuela are NOT "anywhere else on earth"?
There are at least 14 other countries listed here that exceed the US in gun violence. But Im sure you can find an excuse to move a goal post to exclude each one.

A lot of guys have guns. the non-crazy ones dont shoot people with them. without someone to pull the trigger a gun is just an object. but its the guns fault. right.
Good idea. the cops obviously could have cared less. even when the shooting started they didn't show up until 3 people were dead.
SophiaHernandez
Bob Fosse was right. the residents should have had an armed guard on him. this wouldnt have happened.
Well, that ends the ‘good guy with a gun’ argument. What’s the hero supposed to do?
That wasnt the exchange. Here it is;
You know we can scroll up right?
Anyway, let me clarify; the non-crazy ones dont shoot people with them unless defending themselves, their families or others. I apologiize for thinking you could make that leap yourself. And by the way, i didn't make the good guy argument, you did. Sarcastically I think, but its the only intelligent thing you've said so far.
I was going more, guns don't kill people, people do. You haven't addresed that one yet i notice.
SophiaHernandez
Is that right?
Both have much higher gun death rates.
Didnt think you had a point. Deflecting as usual.
SophiaHernandez
Scrolled up and found
Sorry, I didnt realise you meant 'that arent places that prove me wrong.'
Dont be so elitist. there are people in those countries just trying to live their lives and get by, same as you.
SophiaHernandez
You can say the same about drugs, but you blame the gangs, cartels, dealers and junkies. Why blame guns for gun violence but forks and gangs get a pass?
America has more guns. thats our right People need them to defend against the criminals and the gangs. The US doesn't have the highest murder rate in the world. By far. Its actually about average. If people don't use guns they'll use something else.
19 people were killed in one attack by someone with a knife in Japan in 2016. seven in one attack in 2008. eight kids in 2001. Knifes fault? you better get rid of yours then, they might get up and stab you one day.
SophiaHernandez
no, obviously we should ban all gasoline. its only used for starting fires right? why are you blaming the guns and not the crazy guy, or the police who ignored him for years?
